Gazza has an excuse due to his mental health problems going back to childhood leafing to his drink problem, Barton's just a racist C U Next Tuesday. I hope he is sent down and finds a group of psychotic hells angels want to make him their bitch

    I'm surprised he's still alive.

Absolute bell end. This guy needs to do some serious time in prison to make him reflect on his continuous violent behaviour.

He also needs his coaching licence revoked and to be thrown out of football completely, because if I had a son playing at Bristol Rovers, I would be very concerned that this bullying thug had a position of authority over my son.

I doubt there is a single person who deep down doesn’t realise he’s a complete **** bag.

Gascoigne claims he's mentally ill every time he's up in court.

But he's been sectioned quite a few times, examined by psychiatrists and always released.

It could be that, just like lots of other NE blokes, he's daft, likes a drink and goes too far.

fwiw and I hate to talk about others mental health without knowing them, but I’m pretty sure Joey has plenty of his own mental health issues.

You have to think this is it for him as a manager

True. I'm not sure if he's mentally ill or not. He is from Dunston so high likleyhood  with the alcoholism issues I thought he'd go the way of George best.

absolutely not, sorry to be clear I wasn’t defending it at all. Was just responding to the idea that Gazza seemingly had an excuse but Joey didnt. Neither of them do, as nobody does.

To be honest I don't think it's far away and I'm being generous to him, I mean turning up with a 6 pack of Stella, a KFC bucket of chicken and a couple of fishing rods to try and talk down one of the most wanted armed blokes in the country who's got police snipers surrounding him is not the actions of a bloke playing with a full deck. But I do think a lot of people's patience is running out with him.

I think that one day I'll turn on the news and see he's dead, and I don't think that day is far off.

Mental health issues don’t make you knock lasses about.

I’m speaking from a ****ing wealth of experience.

You can have all the demons in the world and still know right from wrong.

The world needs to normalise calling folk out on using these things as an excuse for being a ****ing bad human being.

Barton is one of those. He’s clearly an intelligent fella, he knows exactly what he’s doing and chooses to repeat the cycle over and over.

one night i went on the whiskies with a mate, lots of the feckers...apparently our lass wound me up a lot and i tw@tted her, i remember feck all about it and she could have been winding me up about it but i vowed never to have a whisky ever again, yet i have watched lads time and time again get pissed, beat the wife/girlfriend up or start fights with people who did nowt wrong...i did not want to be 'that @rsehole'.

all through my mental health problems i realised all i was doing was hurting those i loved (not physically but by my attitude/actions/moods) and made sure i stopped doing it, it is not an excuse, you know exactly what you are going through and can see it's effects on others...so you do the sensible thing and stop doing it, for your sake as well as those around you.

Putting tabs out in youth players eyes. Headbutting opposition managers, punching blokes unconscious in city centres and now lashing out at the woman he loves. I've never seen any sign of mental health issues with him, only anger issues. He's obviously a loose cannon who is unable to contain his rage as he's shown throughout his life, so he should have no place in sport (or society tbh). He's had to many chances, now. Vile little rat.

His other court case hasn’t even finished yet, and looks like he’s at it again. A****hole.
