On a career-low mark now but his old irish form on good ground in handicaps for the Hogans was useful. Last time out was encouraging when keeping on in 5th at Stratford. Double entries for this horse may speak for its wellbeing at the moment. Stable doing well this summer and especially Nick Scholfield has encouraging stats at Worcester this season

Worcester 7.05 Tayzar

Backed this horse last time out at Southwell when 2nd behind a good one from the Harry Whittington yard. Theo Gillard who won on him last year keeps the ride and takes off valuable 5 lb.Ruth Jefferson in the money with 50 % of her 10 runs this season. Its a rare runner for the yard at Worcester.

the ground is going to be an issue i think today at Goodwood - heavy ground also seems to have taken quite a few horses out of races.

1.50 Majestic Dawn looks to be able to go on the ground and so a value each way bet

 

i also can't understand why Trueshan is still 2/1 to win the Goodwood Cup.
Stradivarius one of my favourite horses in recent years, but surely has no chance today ?

Yarmouth 1.10 Hi Ho Silver

Dual cd winner including this race last year. Often runs well at Yarmouth. Supported in the market on every run at Yarmouth this year ( 1 win). Trainer and good apprentice amongst the winners recently. I think this one has a solid each way chance today.

 

Seemed to be cruising 1f out, but front two moved on well, doubled your money on the ew which was nice but bit disappointed she didn't run on. I'll still back her nto

 

Good start, no Stradivarius so the double turns into a single

 

It’s a pretty poor Goodwood this year.

No Stradivarius in the big one today and no Palace Pier in the Sussex Stakes tomorrow.

 

The ground has dampened enthusiasm at Goodwood but I thought Space Blues was too big at 3/1 in the Lennox. He is the defending champion but faces different ground here. Too soon to write him off as a no-hoper on very soft and he was a Derby entry at one stage of his career. Creative Force an obvious possible back up to 7F after the July Cup but I prefer the older horse at the relative odds. He wasn't at his best last time out but has had a break and can bounce back.

Kinross for me in the 300 goodwood, Kingman's offspring seem to go under all conditions and at 5/1 is a free ew in my mind

 

Won well and drifted to 6s too...little boom for me and worth looking watching offspring of Kingman in changing ground conditions
