Deep down I feel like we are never going to get to the end of this saga, only way I can see it ending is PIF pulling out. The delays are never ending
Let’s say it doesn’t get thrown out. The PL do indeed fold. But that just points to corruption. What if the CAT goes ahead in the public interest. This is what doesn’t make sense to me. Why would the PL risk so much (apparently) when there is so much more to lose!
Could the Premier League not just appeal any outcome that doesn't go their way? Genuinely outrageous how long this has taken.
They'll go down to the wire, last minute before they walk into court. Their delay worked last time so here they go again. However, they don't know what a vindictive twat Mike is. He never forgets anyone that crosses him. Just ask Dave Whelan. He bankrupted JJB because Whelan stopped him from joining his sportswear buying group. God help the PL. IT'S HAPPENING.!!! Eventually..
But then you have got to question what the PL notice actually is. Indeed this question seems to be forgotten atm. Why are the PL objecting and doing this!?
I bet they’re arguing that they didn’t make a decision and PIF then walked away with a public announcement so they didn’t continue any consideration - blaming NUFC’s potential buyers effectively. Could work.
What possible reasonable explanation could anyone give for a preliminary meeting to decide whether to have a meeting takes 8 ****ing weeks to get ready for. These lazy kick it down the road let’s all ride the gravy train just submit something when you’re ready to no rush we’re all professionals here there’s all the time in the world thank you Mr Bird thank you Mr DeMarco ****ers really make my **** itch
True and they can wink as they say it. It’s manipulating the situation to gain the desired outcome. The PL knew fine well what they where doing. But my question is “why do they not want it”? Another team to the top table. Loyal support. The PL product is enhanced. Or, backhanders, threats from Bein, threats to the top six position and subsequent threats from them. And it’s all happening in plain site. There has been no takeover in the history of takeovers like this one. Wtf!
it’s possibly moved from the secret “big 6 have told us not to let this through” to “how dare Ashley make this fuss” to “bollocks we might get rumbled here, what shall we do Mr Bird?” to “ah yes, that’s right actually, we haven’t done anything wrong have we, this is sour grapes from the Geordies, we had legitimate concerns, we should hold to our principles” - people rationalise. I ****ing hate people.
We are witnessing the death of the club in front of everyone’s eyes and basically the rest are loving it. There is no support from other clubs. They know we are up **** creek without a paddle. Nosediving towards probable relegation. It’s brilliant for them and its entertaining for them. Let’s all watch the poor bar codes suffer. The fan base fight. The anger turns towards Ashley. Who’s apparently done his best for our club. And now he’s having his cake and eating it. There is no denying he wants out: but what an opportunity he has. The best ever. He won’t spend and logically no should he. It’s sick in a bottle. Drink up!
As an opinion - the PL has clearly breached competition law. Not a minor breach either. They are not disputing the claim. They are disputing the jurisdiction - a technicality.
A hundred likes for this… exactly what I imagine is in the minds of all other clubs and fans. And media interest is abysmal. We’ve gotten too big for our boots. why the **** can nobody see that this mob at the top table stink of **** and corruption…. I wish none of this was happening to us, but IF they can be brought down then I’ll be glad to be team-Mike….
