Yeah, well he was socially awkward at school so I'd be very surprised if he's changed much. Harmless enough, nice to talk to.
He’s always really pleasant and tries to be chatty, he just doesn’t really know what to say and never looks at you while he’s saying it.
Exactly while the tragedy is the Aldi on Bev Rd is shutting!! Can’t believe it. also I need to know where the fit Indian bird who works there is going to go to? Cott? Anlaby rd? Hessle? Don’t say east hull I’m not going all that way to flirt with her ffs
He was never that sort, half decent footballer at school, never picked last. I liked him, just wish he knew his Marlboro from his B and H.
So we've signed Costcutter & Aldi, can never have too many defensive midfielders as they're supermarkers...
She told me she had feelings for him but it all turned sour when he asked her to stain his decking...
We had a section manager at work who sounded exactly like the guy you describe - I remember being with him on a team building course at Grange Park, Willerby, our table had a brilliant waitress, very attractive in a milfy/gilfy way and a brilliant sense of humour and banter to more than match anything we gave her; one meal time this clueless twat invited himself onto our table and tried joining in with the waitress banter - he absolutely killed it stone dead, not funny, inappropriate and downright embarrassing. The guy I was sat with summed him up perfectly ''that ****'s like a puppy who wants to play but it hasn't been socialised and doesn't know how to'' - a perfect summation and I wish I'd have come up with it! I do love a good football transfer story
Not posted for years but read frequently. If I may be so bold as to mention something related to transfers and the over discussed 'embargo' the details of which no one seems to really know. My impression is that players will have to exit to stay within the squad limit but cannot be loaned. I'm posting 'cos I had an idea for a possible work around. City identify player they'd prefer to loan. Club X (L1 or 2) shows interest. City and Club X agree a valuation (e.g. 100k) for player and City agree to sell. Club X cannot afford to meet valuation. City agree to sell for 5k with proviso that only 1yr contract given. At end of contract player is free agent. 3 possible options: 1. Club X want player but in order to offer longer contract must pay City 95K. 2. City want player but to offer contract must pay Club X 7.5K (maybe a pre-season friendly thrown in). 3. Neither Club X not City want player who is free to sign for another club. City pay Club X 5k. Is that a possible win, win, win? Any thoughts?
Point 2. is a buyback clause which would be a pretty handy way to get around it. For some reason, they aren't really used in the UK but they're commonplace across Europe. Converting Flores' loan into a permanent would be sensible too.
I don't really think it would work like a buy-back as the player would be out of contract thus there's a risk the player may choose another club rather than either City or Club X
I guess the loser here is the player, who gives up whatever contract he has with City, gets a one year deal on L1/L2 terms then possibly ends up without a club 12 months later. Not going to be a tempter for most players, is it? Maybe I’ve missed something.
