Decent CB and he'll strengthen us at the back for sure. £50m is a lot of beanz. But they ain't my beanz so I happy we've got him.
Said 19/20 season when he was at Leeds we should offer Brighton £30m right then and there to sign him. He’s class; fantastic ball playing centre half. I think currently £50m is a bit overpriced for where he is now, but I really think hell be worth a lot more in a few seasons.
He's a quality player no doubt. Arteta is obvioulsy adamant they need a CB with that long range passing in his locker (like Luiz) I think he will be a success - still annoyed about Saliba though. Also paying 50m for a player while selling Mavroponos for a mere £6m (after a great Season in Germany) - is classic Arsenal.
He is a gamble, he is not the finished defender the price tag suggests, we are all including arsenal management hoping he develops and reaches his full potential.. Lot of pressure on him similar to pepe who is fantastic just not 74m fantastic...
