Phenomenal, we'll never forget it. No doubt about it, Origi has given us some of our best moments. Who'd have thought <laugh>

Now ive had enough time to let that barca result sink in, im gonna say its above istanbul for me.

Probably the best game ive ever seen us play in my lifetime. Istanbul was a miracle a genuine miracle but it was a tough watch for the most part, then again i guess thats what makes the end result so epic.

That barca game was summin else tho, performance wise we were a team possesed.

I'm probably twice your age so have a lot more games to compare :bandit: but I agree, the Barcelona game was pure joy from start to finish.

Joy yes but not the drama. We scored early and it felt like a steam roller.

2005 was drama. Extra time save, penalties.

I'm sure there were higher quality games, many where whichever team it was felt like it was totally and completely in tune and perfect.

Remember arsenal game where we were 5 up after 30mins.

Theres probably a list somewhere of best 10 games ever

    There were better games,

Great news about Fabinho. Now need to sort out Alison, VVD and Salah as priorities.

Nothing compares to Istanbul for me. Nothing.

Probably the company though, watched it with about 20-25 mates in a chocker pub full of Liverpool fans. Great atmosphere, great celebrations and went on to be a great night too.

I don't know which has been my favourite ever game. It seems strange given the heights we have gone on to reach but the first FA Cup win in 1965 was immense. It meant so much to the club and the fans. All those players, without exception, were legends. It was an iconic team. Gerry Byrne played the whole game having broken his collarbone in the first few minutes which nobody knew about until after the game. Pure passion.

Maybe not the same intensity being a child watching it at home (on black and white telly) as actually being at the game or as an adult watching in the pub with your mates but it's stuck with me.

Not really. Vvd is damaged goods and wrong side of 30 and salah is also aging rapidly.

If they want to sit on their current deals I'm more than happy

Trent, fabinho and alisson are great work imo.

VVD is a genetic freak and is also a great defender. I think he still has a fair few years left. And Mo is similar. Hardly misses games, consistent and is our best attacker. Two world class players with a few years left in them.

Would be silly not to reward them with new deals.
