The very fact that we're starting with almost the same squad is slightly depressing but expected. The fact that Joelinton is still potentially in the starting 11 for 2021/22 is amusing and moderately depressing. I'm glad I don't give a **** anymore. Boxing is way better.
Its shows how low my expectations have sunk that I am actually quite excited that we might still have the same squad at the start of the season.
It's Newcastle FFS, everyone's way beyond apathy, we all stay here though. Chelsea going for Lukaku, Kane going to City, yes we're way beneth them, but even Villa are putting distance between us and them by going for Abraham. So we pay a fortune for an unproven Joelinton, then Willock scores goals for fun but we won't by him? Makes sense.
Stephane Guivarc'h got one goal in only 4 games, Xisco's record after 1 game was 1 in 1.... they were both horrific. Joelinton ain't a goal scorer but he's decent behind strikers.
He's a left sided attacking midfielder if anything at all. He's improving and currently he's scoring goals and playing well.
