If it's true and I pray it's not - but Mikey will want that bumped a bit to cover the cost of J9 last year. £50-55m would mean a net spend of £5-10m on Joelinton would make that good business in Mikes mind.
I said on another thread he’s asked for a transfer request and I’ve heard he’s not happy at all. He’s downed tools. And I don’t blame him.
Ha if only. It’s actually poor form if it’s true to be honest but if I was him I would be very frustrated. When he signed he will have been made promises I would imagine. If Ben White is worth £50m then ASM is easily.
If hes downed tools **** him. The manager who is trying to sign him thought he wasnt good enough, in fact, most clubs in the league thought he was ****. It was NUFC that gave him the chance, not the messiah Rafa or another big club. NUFC. But 40m is nothing. 50m at least, toss in a player too. French players are all the same, sorry its true
I agree - as long they are not accepting their megabucks salary while downing tools and agree to personally pay back their transfer fee. These players are just spoilt twats. They have far too much power.
Downing tools is a load of bollocks. People who "downed tools" didnt get paid, ASM is still taking his wage and working. Hes just doing a **** job. Ritchie did it the mans way, he played well but called the manager a useless ****. Simple.
Glad I don't give a ****. **** NUFC. Wont be buying a single match ticket until Ashley and Bruce are gone.
I can't see anywhere he's requested a transfer? Have I missed something? Wilson is talking about how Bruce wants to use him as a No.10, which he's excited about and for ASM's part he wants to get in the France squad. Reckons he has been super focused in training.
I've not seen anything either Pouchy. He'll be here next season. I don't think he's the type to stop trying for the team. I can't see the Everton thing working out as doubt he'd want to play under Rafa. If he had an injury free season he knows he'd get a big move or the takeover might go through.
Rafa would be a terrible move for ASM. Bruce has him doing as much defensive work as he wants to. Supposedly didn't fancy tracking back at all when he first arrived. I think Bruce has actually struck a good balance in this regard. Obviously in the modern game he needs to contribute to the overall team defensive effort. But you want the majority of his energies used hurting the opposition. Bruce seems to have found a way to get him onboard, while still accepting he is a maverick who doesn't want to be too shackled. Jesus, I've just praised Steve Bruce.
Praising his lack of tactics. He didn't implement anything. I swear the players just do what the **** the like
I think you've got give Bruce the praise he deserves for some good man management to get ASM on board with team work. Tracking back etc. It is also tactical in a way, because for your tactics to work, particularly ours which is heavily counter attack focused, you need players to do their bit going the wrong way. For all I don't rate Bruce, I think you've got to remain objective and say ASM is definitely one of his successes. I think the fact he allows him more rope than the other players contributes to this. As Shelvey said, he might get fined everyday, he might not follow the same rules as the other players, but you let him go a bit and get richly rewarded. Supposedly Ferguson treat Cantona different to any other player. KK was the same with Ginola. Its important to know what makes people tick. Football is about more than just tactics, there is a lot of psychology in there which I would concede Bruce seems good at. I realise though, your assessments of him will always be based in hatred not fact What was it that he did that got you so triggered? Was it all the disloyalty in his early days where he dumped on a few clubs? Or was it that he caught that horrible Mackemitis disease which can be fatal of course. He got lucky and got out just before the cheese started to form on the chip on his shoulder.
