I appreciate all this but I wasn’t really commenting on whether the decision is right or gold but saying it was the only choice really (in my opinion). Just from a financial and business perspective This point is of course up for debate
And there was me thinking I was going to have nothing to do tonight once nipper is in bed. Might even go get some tinnies.
That's so far off the mark it's funny. Where did I ever say that? I meant just because people aren't posting puns and spunking over FM type dreams every day doesn't mean they don't follow the forum regularly. When they choose to post its their choice. And wtf has Libby got to do with this, confused....you must have banged your head today.
I get that, but this undoubtedly increases our chances of going down which will cost far more than the £25m or so we'd have lost by keeping him for a season.
It is more I’m supposed to be playing in an RPG game otherwise I would have considered watching but clearly I have made a clusterfuck of things as well ♂️
Ok I have just had a glance at Saintsweb and realised my dig about a meltdown was well and truly misplaced There is at least one proper one there (with it’s own thread created) Sorry everyone. Will attempt to extract foot from mouth. May take a while...
That thread to be fair to SWF isn’t representative of that forum. I read it loads, and it is no worse or better than here. They have a similar thread about Ings, and some people pissed off, others thinking it was a good deal for the club. Pretty similar to here.
And from what I’m reading, the sell on % is only on the profit, so Liverpool could be due 20% of profit over £20m, if the deal is £25m plus add ones, they will get about £1m.
I tend to find Saintsweb a little more hysterical than here. But perhaps not by as big a gap as a few years ago. To clarify - they have mellowed
The only thing that annoys me is the amount of time we have been told that Danny is staying for the remainder of his contract. I completely understand cashing in now tho. No disrespect to villa but I thought had his sights set much higher
It took me a while to get used to it, and the people who post on there, but I like reading there and here, and barely post on either nowadays. And literally the two places are more similar than you realise. One guy is very stats driven and has some great analysis, really interesting to read. Same with some stuff on here, with the exception of a small handful of people.
I am intrigued at to what happens to Watkins. They spent even more money on him and he didn’t do terribly
