Hot water tank has burst and taken out the dining room ceiling beneath it. FML.

 

Not nice and a right pain in the arse. Just what someone don't need to start their day.

 

Didn't you have somebody round recently to fix up your hot water ?

No, that was the leccy.

I’ve not even got the silver cloud of betterment as both rooms were recently redone, decorated, carpets etc. So just a load of grief coming, at least a bag for a new tank, then arguing the toss with loss adjusters and trying to find trades in this ****ing market. Oh and no hot water for **** knows how long.

 

I feel your pain. Sounds like a major fukin hassle.

What you need is my old Iveco van with a stove pipe sticking out the top. Could make yourself a cuppa and a bowl of hot water to wash your knackers at the same time

 

Any mosques nearby?

go and have your shower at the local mosque, they open earlier on Fridays and provide cleaning facilities

Energy prices will rise for millions of people across the UK in October, right at the start of the cold weather.

You laugh, but given my current circumstances and vulnerability the insurance co have said they’ll provide a shower block trailer thing if it can’t be sorted in the next few days lol.

 

Roll up a biff before you go in there mate and you can pretend you’re at Glastonbury.

But yeah, sounds ****e mate. Hope it gets sorted for ya soon.

 

People need to be a bit more careful with how they use energy to keep the cost down.
