I absolutely agree he’d be a great RB if given the role permanently but today after not playing MF in anger for so long and against a promotion contender without a recognised FB I thought he and the other lads were class.
Lee Johnson will get this squad up without a shadow of a doubt in my mind, and that’s without reinforcements coming in.

spot on assessment.. he needs to up his game 1/2 yard quicker but that will come with game time... To think we had three knackers in the midfield last year and Onions wasn't one of them

 

Thought he was fantastic for me. The more he plays the better he'll get too. Op must hate playing against at him too.

 

Midfielder all day. He will get 5-10 goals as well if he stays fit.

 

And get 3-4 players sent off too!

He’s more than helped out in other positions so yep I’m happy with this.

 

Got no problem with that at all, thought him and Evans complimented each other well

My feeling from watching him is he would develop further and be able to play at a higher level as a full back
Hes a good League One midfielder theres no doubt about that

 

He's not the finished article and after last season needs a few games to properly find his feet
Hasn't yet got the positional sense of Evans but his energy makes up for it
had a good solid game and with Evans beside him to learn off I think he will be a big player for us this season.

 

Totally agree mate…. been my view for a while..

 

I thought our midfield as a unit played really well and Luke was a big part of that.

 

Played okay, nothing more nothing less. Signs are promising though.
