So what are the items that were previously allowed in the stadium but are now banned ?

 

Well, I was looking forward to today, after last week that I was going to, but in the end couldn’t go to, I thought, well at least I can get to a home game. Just about to set off & thought, I’ll check the M62 Eastbound & make sure it’s all good. Not good. So once again, missing out on a game.
This season’s going great so far.

 

Bottles of non-alcoholic drinks other than water, juice boxes, flasks, iPads.

And if the security on Tuesday at East Stand is anything to go by, bags of crisps. I suspect that must have been over-zealous security because food isn't on the banned list.

 

Optimism

 

Actually, serious warning for anyone going today based on Tuesday night's experience - expect the queues to get in to be longer than last (but one) season as people argue the toss with the stewards at bag search. Don't take your snazzy reusable drinks bottle as you'll get it taken off you never to be seen again. Take your mask as the concourse will be heaving at half time as all the flaskers will be after a cup of hot brown, and kids will be wanting their fizzy pop and snacks that security confiscated.

These new rules are stupid and totally unecessary. Hopefully fan groups are up in arms about it and the club has a rethink. Welcome fans (customers) dont piss them off unnecessarily.

 

I don't understand why we need these new rules at all , you can't take a plastic bottle of water in unless it's sealed ?

 

No doubt the official position will be safety and security. Cynics may think it’s so we spend more money on the concourse.

 

This reminds me of a game at Boothferry Park around 85.

I was a little bit peckish and a little bit skint, so I got myself a bag crisps.

Upper South Stand. I opened said crisps and began munching.

I **** you not, the few people sat just in front of me looked around with an agonising glare. It was just the like being at the pictures. I should have asked if they wanted one, but one of them was ten year old and he'd have emptied the bag in one fowl swoop.

 

Definitely should of asked for socks
