Phenomenal performance, Dier and Sanchez were unexpectedly absolutely excellent. Most pleasing though was that we played with real purpose, aggression, and intensity for the first time I can remember in a long while. Absolutely made up for Nuno
Dad Heung-min and Mum Heung-min will be very proud. Your front three looked good today. Their pace caused City a lot of problems. Ironically, Nuno wouldn’t have been able to play that way with Kane in the team.
THAT.WAS.BRILLIANT! So proud of all those lads today - and a coach who appears to believe in them. Season might go downhill from this high, but if they keep that attitude and commitment I will be a happy camper!
Really thought the Bergwijn miss would cost us. You've got to be honest and say that normally it would. Against a team like that you can't afford not to take your chance. Overall brilliant though.
Can't buy class. 'Ave it you ****s! As others have said. Sanchez was superb, the whole team was great. If you'd have told me we were going to play 433 with Nuno I'd have been concerned but it was a million miles away from Jose's 433s where the wingers both track back deep, it was more like 3 strikers and worked a treat. One of Wolves' problems was consistency against the weaker sides so I won't get too carried away but we did a number on City today without Kane or any of our new signings starting. I'm very happy
Great effort. Lucas ran circles around City. Absolutely brilliant. Sanchez was excellent and Dier very good. Nuno has this squad ready early, and his insistence on only playing players who were completely fit and committed paid off. Both teams had chances, but Spurs have the best finisher in the world, while City haven't got the deal over the line for somebody I can't remember.
I wonder what the rest of the squad are thinking about Kane. That performance today looked like they were making a point!
That is all that today was ever going to be about. Citeh and the arse-licking hacks / "pundits" spent all summer writing the pre-match talk for this game.
It was the players eagerness and willingness to win that I liked today. They battled to get to the ball first. They didn’t stand around watching the ball. They WANTED the win. And how much better it is with the fans back!
That was great every player played their part, we all looked at the starting line up and thought oh ****! But we beat City today because we played as a team, Tanganga and Lucas were the real stand out players but if Sanchez could be trusted to play like that every week he would be a shoe in. I loved it - all credit to Nuno he has made a great start now he has to keep it up as do the team.
