Just in case anyone relies on SKY internet connections for online banking. They are having connection problems which are affecting some online banking. My connection for gaming wont work although general internet is OK and I use mobile banking anyway. Apparently there is a DNS issue where connections are not being resolved to the correct destination.....which could be a monumental problem for them, or a simple fix/rollback of their DNS server. Wait time to speak to an agent is over 1 hour!

There’s a massive issue, folk who work for TSB can’t log in to work and that.

On the plus side there’s a new hub coming out that fixes all these problems you should be able to insist on having one soon <laugh>

It’s always DNS. A right pain in the arse at the best of times!

I've had multiple issues over the past few months with Sky. At least 8 call outs from Sky engineers and 3 separate visits from Openreach and each time they state that there was never a problem. It wasn't until a certain engineer took charge of the situation (give me his work mobile to contact him direct so that I didn't have to go through their long winded call centre) that it's been resolved-ish. Speed though is absolutely ****e and cant wait to get rid when contract is up.

Problem you have with Openreach broadband, whoever your supplier is, is the issue will move with you between suppliers.

Only difference you will see is in Wi-Fi with a different hub. I’m fortunate that I don’t have to use Openreach supplied broadband here as the network is a shambles.
