Sort of mentally writing this one off today, though hope to be proved wrong. Don't think we are gelling just yet and look a bit lightweight through injury and suspensions, especially up against a newly relegated PL side. Could be messy, but not a game our season will be defined by. That was probably Wednesday Routine 2-0 win for Fulham.
Did Marco congratulate the club after the promotion to the Championship? One of his coaching staff did if I recall.
Didn't we beat this shower 6 duck in their own place a few years back? I will accept a five nil demolition of them today as an acceptable performance given that there has probably been a change of personnel on both teams. A four nil drubbing of them would be considered mediocre and McCann/Byrne would need to be publicly grilled if that is the outcome. We do have standards you know.
Name the team before the official announcement anyone. Have you got the cohones to show you couldbe a manager as much as McCann??????
City: Ingram, Elder, Greaves, Bernard, Coyle, Smallwood (c), Docherty, Smith, Williams, Lewis-Potter, Magennis. Subs: Baxter, Huddlestone, Eaves, Hinds, Emmanuel, Jarvis, Cannon.
Is that the Championship Trophy? Defies convention, I like it. Very symbolic. The dark days of the season culminating in a silver lining and a dark trepidation at the top regarding how the winners will perform in the PL. The brown cess pool at the side, indicative of the teams who are resigned to swimming in the murky backwaters of league one come the following season.
