then this leave LJ a difficult decision to make as to who he leaves out of his 18 match day squad. Potential team: Patterson Winchester Flanagan Doyle Cirkin Evans Neil Gooch Embleton Mcgeady Stewart This would leave 7 subs from the following 10 players: Burge Huggins Alves Wright O'Neil Pritchard Broadhead O'brien Hawkes Diamond Who do you think will be left out?
I'd leave Evans on the bench for this one, we are playing well and don't need to rush him back Patterson Huggins Flanagan Doyle Cirkin Neil Winchester Gooch Embleton O'Brien Stewart Subs: Burge, Alves, O'Nien, McGeady, Pritchard, Broadhead, Evans
Wouldn't risk Evans, I'd make sure he was absolutely clear before bringing him back, anybody any idea about Burges injury. At home we don't need 2 CH on bench and we could use Diamonds pace more imo. so I'd leave out Evans, Alves and give Gooch/ Geads a week off.
I'm pleased this is LJ's decision and not mine. There's a number of things for him to weigh up. 1) Is Huggins fit enough to start? If so, move Winny into the middle. 2) Is it worth risking bringing Evans back too early? For me that's a 'no.' 3) Will 09 be able to play his normal game? If no, does he send him for the op now instead of trying to nurse him through games for the rest of the season? 4) Does he persevere with Gooch and McGeady or go with the ones who did so well in midweek? 5) After scoring 3 in midweek, does AOB start and will he tweak the shape of the team to play 2 up top? FWIW, My 18 would be: Patterson Huggy, Doyle, Flanno, Cirkin Winny, 09 Neil, Embo AOB, Stewart Subs: Burge, Alves, Geads, Gucchi, Broadhead, Pritchard, Diamond
Its a bloody nice position to be in though. My opinion for what it is worth any one of them 18 could be a 1st 11 player. Strength in depth is superb.
That's spot on mate. On the transfer thread there's still talk of more coming in, so there'll likely be even more of a selection headache for LJ in the next few weeks.
