Of course, but no game to go to and my daughter wouldn't cope with noise. I'm thinking Roker, Seaburn, Seaham, Beamish
Roker and Seaburn definitely. What about Durham to see the Cathedral? Harry Potter was filmed there a bit. Shields fair then up Ocean road for a curry? Beamish is always great as well as you said.
I've taken my kids to all of these... Beamish, The Glass Museum, South Shields, Seaham - to see Tommy Penshaw Monument, Durham - Cathedral, River walk Finchale Priory Angel of the North
Scratch that they can't be any good as there's only 6 of them in the group, food festival weekend in Bents Park
Depends what your children like, to some extent. If you go to Shields look in at the Park. I assume that The Minature Train is still running. If Harry Potter is their thing, then I believe that Alnwick Castle was used in the early films for Hogwarts scenes. And IF they are into museums, then there is Bowes not so far away or, closer to hand, The Discovery Museum in N/C.
