The hard bit is staying there, which with this new squad of players and LJ's tactics and coaching is definitely achievable. A great day all round. Here's hoping for many more.
I think the hard part for SAFC is to get to the top and it will be easier to stay there imo. If we get a canny points lead teams may give up and let us go and fight for second. When we were 4th 5th or whatever they always felt they had a chance. I think we will start to blow teams away shortly tbh.
There are going to ups and downs, that goes without saying but we are going to be there or there abouts surely. Hoping we don't go on a bad run as we normally do but at the same time nothing about this team now is normal and feels like a brand new era with old bad habits that are dieing with the old regime
Hopefully a massive Covid spike is imminent and we can all relax when we're awarded promotion Ironic as we've just gone top against Wycombe.
Happy clapper. Wait till injuries take their toll. Johnson is out of his depth etc. Sorry I'm on the wrong board. We will piss this league this season.
For the first time since Smiffy we're top of this league. This squad can achieve whatever they want at this level. They've shown they've got the talent, now it's all about attitude, perseverance and bottle. Keep it up lads, you're doing great! If we can add a couple of good signings this week, it will send out a huge statement to the rest of this division. Enjoy your night everyone!
We have the makings of a very, very good side this season. A couple of quality additions before the window shuts will add strength in depth and only make us stronger. Optimistic.
We can be a ****ing machine when we get our noses in front. Club, fans, results, everything. We are hard to stop when we have the momentum. (Crosses finger's..)
When you look at the table, most of the teams we've played are at the top end of the table, and our one defeat was a fluke where we should have won, hopefully when we play the lower teams we actually turn the screw this season, by getting some high scoring wins against them to boost our goal difference, IMO this team is capable of it.
The young uns are bringing a new found confidence into the team with which the more experienced players are welcoming and buying into. If this keeps up, I'll be confident that we'll be promoted at the end of the season
