Apart from having issues off the pitch with someone's Mrs!! :emoticon-0103-cool:
On his day, rose tinted memories or not, IMO, possibly the most skillful player ever to wear a City shirt....
And I took a piss with him after a game/ball that I sponsored...that was an interesting conversation!!! My Bristolian Polish was shocking!!!

    I left in 1970.

That period was another pretty dark period for BCFC fans and for me the 6 or 7 great games out of the 43 that he played in although lifting the doom and gloom for that moment in time, was never enough for me and 7 goals in those 43 games puts him a bracket worse than Nakhi Wells as a striker, but fair play I have always the Jacki issue more of a generational thing older fans never got the love in that younger fans did.

I do know a certain BCFC player sparked him out in a Bristol wine bar over something or other.

I seem to remember, was that the bottom of Park Street?.....I never really seem him as a striker tbf....playing out wide suited him better, skinning most players that came near him!! With the right attitude could and should have played in the old First Div......Had the ability, just lacked with self discipline (loose cannon)

I imagine there were still a few stragglers of teachers still around when I was there!!
Battleaxe Bailey was definitely one as she was there when my Brother went late 50's early 60s..

Bailey was my head of house, my last 2 years my form teacher was Taff Lewis, Ben Newman lower school head, Simmonds was head and Tosser Long was deputy head. I remember Joe Minto metalwork, Roger Smeaton woodwork, Randall geography, Fag Allen maths and the weirdo that was Dr Kivitz.

A few when I was there...Ha ha, Taffy Lewis (the thug.. Head of lower when Newman left), Minto was good egg although when I left I heard about him being set upon by students.(pretty bad apparently) .. Roger Smeaton (got on well with him, Barnsley fan I recall), Fag Allen taught engineering when I was there and Dr Kivitz was one of my form teachers (very odd, Polish?) Spud Edwards was Head Master....Mr Postlethwaite was PE/games, there was also another whom I got the dapp from as did most, right thug, can't remember his name...Certainly some characters!!......BTW....couldn't wait to leave!!

Brian Tinnion & Louis Carey not in your X1?
I always thought they were standout players for Bristol City

    Tins almost made it.
Afraid no-one, not even Carey, comes close to Norman Hunter.

Tricky the Norman Hunter one. As although he was immense for us, his best playing days were at Leeds.. IMO

Nevertheless he was the finest defender that's ever wore a red shirt.
