Enjoyed the footballers lifestyle without ever really enjoying the football it seems. One little purple patch with us that kept us up but largely nothing else. Hes had a **** run with injuries but if the crack about him loving to party are true hes probably not helped himself in that regard.
Typical Bruce signing, spending £6m and lashing out huge wages on an 18 year old we couldn’t coach. Bought alongside Craig Gardner, Sebastian Larsson, Keiren Westwood and Ji Dong-Won. What a window that was
When you consider the quality that had left the squad in the 12 months prior. Letting the likes of Malbranque and Zenden go but then replacing them with inferior players.
I think for his size he was easily knocked off the ball. I disliked his haircuts and tattooes as well!!. Soft as ****e. One of my major dislikes of players that have played for SAFC though he was injured most of the ti,e
Curiosity got me to look up one of those stories. The claim was that it was a 15 LITRE 'bottle' of Champagne and it cost him £17,000. It's not hard to see why there isn't a lot of sympathy being shown to him.
I think Seb did alright to be fair to him, definitely tried for us and contributed. Not arguing with your overall point like mate
I remember seeing him after one of the games when he first signed and wasnt really getting a game, I would have told anyone what a lovely lad he was spoke to my son for ages. Saw him again at the end of the season when he went on the run of scoring that kept us up, what a prick, ignored every fan there, strutting around with that dumpy twat from the club who escorts the players to the car who thinks he's rambo. Obviously thought he was a superstar when in reality he'd had 6 decent games
That magnificent summer where we replaced Gyan, Henderson, Zenden, Malbranque, Mensah & Welbeck with Whickham, Gardner, Larsson, Vaughan, O'Shea & Bendtner
This, I think he trained and built himself with muscle because he thought that's how a big centre forward should be, when in reality, he probably could have been a few stone lighter because the skill and movement were there, just look at the purple patch he went on and kept us up. For that effort I'll always hold him in high regard. He was unplayable at times.
40k sunderland fans, staff, manager all shouting "GOOO ONNN" and waving toward the North stand.when the ball bounced of Killganans face and dropped into midfield. Im sure it was Seb that took the ball into midfield, gave it to the prick that's at Wigan now, hands on his knees in the centre circle absolutely shattered. I swear the fans willed the ball into the net that day. Absolutely class. Brilliant atmosphere, remember it well. So, aye, Wickham.
