So if that is the reference to lack of fitness, we are well and truly knackered. Surely all clubs start without the full squad. I always thought the reference to Honeyman was odd. Seems to me he should have had the operation required at the end of last season rather than waiting to see if he would be 'ok' after a break/recuperation/rest. Question the decision making on that one maybe? Anyway, if the manager is thinking we haven't been at our best because of injuries to 'key' players, then in my opinion we are relegated. I cannot see the key players making that much difference as previously stated. I agree, I think McCann has not had great support in the transfer market but for me he isn't the man to get the best out of this group of players. As always hoping to be proved wrong on all fronts.
-> "Especially when we aren't exactly playing badly bar derby". We haven't scored even one goal in over 6 games now!!! All clubs will have problems with injuries, those coming back from injuries, suspensions, etc. IF those are real issues for us, then you change things around to get the best out of what you have got (and to counter specific opposition). He just sticks with the same. I agree with some of what you said; of course I do. But his lack of flexibility and nous is utterly ridiculous.
Yep as someone who’s watched every game including the cup tie live I’m not sure what games Howden has watched. Pure spin from Howden.
The bottom line is that Terry has achieved nothing, we are pretty much where we were when he joined. He's also achieved nowt elsewhere. Unfortunately for him, any coach who feels he can work effectively and positively with The Allams, will inevitably always get tarred with the same brush. I take the view that until The Allams are gone most coaches, if not all, would receive a similar reception from the fans. Under Terry with these players we aren't going to be challenging for any honours. I can live with that as its my home club and will support whatever, we've had enough dark days in the past, but the current apathy is stinking the place out, and The Allams are the main cause
Based on what ? Sheff U kicked their way to promotion from the Championship then ****ed up big time. They didn't even reach double figure points until their relegation was confirmed and they went week after week without scoring a goal.
You say people like you don’t listen but you are exactly the same - you keep harping on about ****ing it up in the Championship last time - he’s just told you why and it still does not register ! We virtually walked league 1 in the end , and then he gets no championship investment . You’ve said you’ll wait and see I think we should but please stop repeating the same unbalanced view . We all just want to watch us doing well but some of this forum stuff is so unfair or unreasonable at the moment . Nobody has responded to my point that the other promoted teams are below us - just and they don’t appear to be slaughtering their managers !
I agree and running a poll on sacking our manager, second week in September, on a Hull City forum, is extremely poor taste and shows no class what so ever.
I don't rate Wilder and he isn't or never has had any connections with Hull City. I back McCann because he is our manager. Wanting McCann's head on a stick when we haven't completed ten league games yet is an outrage. Grow some and back the team FFS.
I would suggest the error of judgement lies firmly with the Allams. Did they go with the cheap option when they hired him to maintain Championship occupancy? Did McCann take a flyer on a job where he might have thought he could handle? Why would he turn it down? He blew it obviously and relegation happened. Why did the Allams keep him to manage/coach the team in L1? Because he was a cheap option perhaps ? No one else was interested? Amazingly he pulled it off. What did the Allams do, they kept him on. Total cock-up by the owners I'd say. Our Terry is lapping up the ride.
Sometimes and at other times they were collecting money to pay for flags supporting him and going through a whole load of hassle to get them put up in suitable locations in the Kcom. That's football.
I back him because he is the manager of Hull City. I'm not a poodle and don't flap and cause a drama because we don't win every week and I see both sides of the picture. The club is on the verge of being sold and McCann had **** all to spend on new players because of it. The last time in the Championship we were fine until our two best players were sold from beneath him and we were left with players who didn't want to be here and fight. In League 1 he couldn't do any more then win the title which I will remind you was our first in 55 years.
I know you have a soft spot for McCann because he's our manager or whatever but I didn't think you were thick enough to suggest a manager like Wilder wouldn't be an improvement. Deluded. You remind me of that Ty kid from AFTV.
Terry is doing the job he’s employed to do for pride and a wage regardless of success or failure. Why make such a crass comment on why he’s in the job . When the recession hit 8 years ago or so was asked to maintain the same sales as previous years with one less staff. I was given a senior salespersonthe md was keen on - she spent the next 6 months with him!! when asked why sales were down 10% I told him if she’d done her job and not spent time elsewhere they wouldn’t be - needless to say he got me out in 4 months !! Maybe Mcann should have told Ehab the same - but he’s kept his job and I spent 8months getting another . If I had my time again id say the same thing !!
