Luton Town v Swansea City Competition - Sky Bet Championship Venue - Kenilworth Road Date - 18 September 2021 Kick off - 3pm Following their goalless home draw against Millwall, next up for Russell Martin’s Swansea squad is a tricky looking away match at Luton On Wednesday evening, the Swans ended the evening still in search of a first home win in the Championship under manager Russell Martin after they were held 0-0 by Millwall in a game of few chances at the Liberty Stadium. Both sides failed to find a single shot on target in the first half. Indeed, neither side have exactly hit the ground running in the Championship this season, with just a win apiece from seven games, and the first half bore that out as both sides struggled to dominate or find any kind of rhythm. The game improved after the interval and Swansea sub Michael Obafemi and Millwall's Tom Bradshaw both missed golden chances to score a winning goal. In truth, a draw was a fair reflection on a game that although much better after the break, was one that never set pulses racing. The draw leaves Swansea 20th in the table, with Millwall in 15th position. Whilst the Swans were drawing against Millwall, Bristol City's long wait for a home win continued as Danny Hylton scored a 91st-minute equaliser for Luton Town to deny the Robins at Ashton Gate. Substitute Hylton had an easy tap-in, in the first minute of added time, after City keeper Dan Bentley fumbled the ball and was caught off his goal line. BristolCity had taken a second-half lead through defender Nathan Baker, who headed in for his first goal in almost two years from a Jay Dasilva free kick. But, for the second time this season, Nigel Pearson's side conceded a late goal to be denied a win. The draw meant that Luton finished the night in 13th position in the table, 3 points ahead of the Swans. The Swans have played the Hatters on 54 previous occasions, winning 21, losing 22 and drawing the other 11. In the corresponding fixture last season, the Swans ran out 1-0 thanks to an early goal scored in the 3rd minute by Conor Hourihane: Turning to Saturday, the Swans really need a victory to - in many ways - kick start their season. A win would move them up to mid-table, whilst defeat could see them drop into the bottom 3, with high flying Huddersfield their next Championship opponents. I’m hoping that the Swans can secure a third successive 1-0 away win at Kenilworth Road, but I have a feeling that the game will end 1-1

I'm going for 1 - 1 as well. We may be near the bottom but a look at the table shows a couple of wins could shoot anyone up the table, so not panicking yet. I must admit I'd hoped Martin would have had more of an impact on style by now, if not results.
My cup is empty, we will get 70% possession, Russell will be happy, Luton hit us on the break to score with their only shot on target. Sorry I’m going for a 1-0 loss.
Thanks Taff. As we are due to score sooner or later due to averages I am going for a Swansea win.....
Most likely Matt - but Tatey played and was an integral part of the squads that played the Swansalona Way, so would/should understand what Martin wants. But as you suggest, a new broom ….
