You make out like he’s a minimum-wage worker living pay-check to pay-check and not a manager of a football club in England’s second tier. If he gets the boot before his contract ends, he’s entitled to a severance pay-out, which is a privilege not afforded to a lot of people laid off during the pandemic. You need to get some perspective.
Perspective? I've had more jobs than you've had hot dinners and a fair few of them agency("finish up today big man,we're quiet next month"),doesn't mean to say that I like to see anyone else out of a job.
Keep getting sacked do you? Did you get paid until the end of your contract like a football manager does?
As have I, working in factories on Sutton Fields and Hedon Road, but that’s chalk and cheese compared to being a professional manager of a football club where you’re entitled to a decent severance if given the boot early. If McCann goes, he’ll likely find work in League 1 in no time. I don’t get why football fans discussing whether or not a manager stays or goes is bad taste. Fans have always had these conversations since time immemorial.
I've never been sacked in 44 years of working for a living and if you'd took the time to read my post that you were keen to comment on,you really wouldn't have bothered asking about me being paid until the end of a contract.
I don't think many on here thought McCann was the right man for the job after we got relegated. But since then he won the league and deserves at least until november before we judge his performance. I think that's fair. Of course if the club decide to replace him, the standard of manager available to us will reflect the state the club is in right now. We are in the poorhouse and the fayre on offer isn't very appetizing. That can change in weeks but it would help this young team if we go to the games and support them
Missing the point as usual. No need to feel sorry or guilty about a football manager being sacked, they get paid until the end of their contract.
I'll have nothing to 'fell' sorry or guilty about,I'm stating that he deserves a good bit more than 7 games before he's judged...That's my opinion, you've got a different one.
Hopefully you've invited some of the local Massai warriors round for a chilled refreshment and may they celebrate a very famous victory
Hull City @HullCity please log in to view this image : "I was really pleased with the performance on Tuesday against Blackburn Wow! Did he really just say that? We didn't score ... again ... and we lost ... again. But it's ok, GMcC is pleased with the performance. ****wit.
When you don’t have consequences and are under no pressure to perform you can say without fear of your position what you want. Some are gullible to his words and he apparently deserves more time the rest of us just shake our heads in disbelief.
