Shame for him, decent start to the season and he'll understandably be disappointed. However, form the club's point of view the German looks like a very good signing. Burge just needs to fight for his place now.

Interesting that he was in the team of the year and was still replaced. I think Patterson was preferred too seeing as he kept his place after getting his chance through Burge's injury. I can understand him being frustrated but any player needs to understand that it's about competing for your place.
We’d have stayed up with a decent keeper in our most recent championship season too. It’s a vital position.
It was absolutely ridiculous I know his wages were supposed to be high for that level but if we’d kept Mannone relegation would’ve been avoided.
