Surely they would only have to sell 6 or 7 of them at 10-12£m each to make that an east aquisition? Westham and Leicester finished above you last season and Leeds finished 3 points behind you, are you saying they can match/beat your spending power?
Yeah they did to be fair, they made decent money on three of their academy players in Guehi, Tomori and Abraham plus the sale of Zouma too, they also sold about five or six others for smaller fees but it all added up. Despite spending £100m on Lukaku, I think Chelsea had a negative net spend this summer of about £5m-£10m. Makes a change of course.
We need to sack off the Conference League and League cup…we won’t win either…at best get to a quarter finals before the minerals disappear. We are just wasting our time and we are just screwing up our chances in the league. Tottenham Hotspur aren’t ready to be that club…let’s get real.
So short are we on goals, that Kane and Son will be ****ed well before the end of the season and there's every likelihood that one or both will pick up an injury. Currently, Kane looks disinterested. If that persists, we really are in deep trouble. Scarlett may be an incredible prospect but he's only that, at this point. It would be rank stupidity to rely on him being a major contributor to our goals tally. Bergwijn currently wouldn't hit water, if he fell out of a ****ing boat...Lucas is good for a few but is no line leading striker. Dele?......**** knows where he plays now but his goals came playing behind a fit, motivated, all-out striker in Kane. Neither have been those players for some time. There are no goals in our midfield and the defence is a similar situation. Unless Enic find some money in January, we're in for some hard times ahead, this season..
Yup Reguilon is another one who doesn’t look up to it either. Problem is the other flops put him way down the list so he kinda get a free ride
Rio Ferdinand has decided that Rudiger is the new Best CB In The Premier League I guess that explains why he didn't get booked (at least) for the blatant stamp on Emerson, because in actual fact he was being a Really Good Defender Boy...
For anyone that missed it: The whistle had already gone for a foul by Kovacic. He then kicks the ball at Emerson Royal, who's on the floor and does that exaggerated leg movement. Regardless of what anyone thinks of the alleged stamp, I've no idea how he escapes at least a yellow. If the player wasn't even there, then he'd get one for kicking the ball away. Ludicrous.
They're all closer to us in terms of wages and spending over time than we are to Chelsea. Their wages alone are over £100m more than us every season. Leicester's are higher than their revenue.
3-5-2 isn't defensive, we could have scored 6 or 7 on the day if we are completely honest. What you are forgetting is that the first 6 games the "random" computer generator gave are almost the hardest 6 games possible. If Kounde had been signed I truly believe we would have settled on four at the back but over the course of the season I think we will mix it up and alternate between 3-5-2 and 3-4-3. Personally I'm happy with the job Tuchel is doing, he's shown far more adaptability and Plan B than any other coach in the league and there is a resilience about us. As for THFC, it's a matchup issue - your midfield struggles against Kante and always has done (even when he was at LCFC), OTOH you have managed to contain City's midfield better than any other side under three different coaches which suggests you aren't a bad team in that area of the pitch. At the moment you seem to be in that limbo position with West Ham, Villa, Everton and Arsenal - whether that's acceptable to your fanbase I don't know.
I agree it should have been punished with a yellow, the officiating in the league has been farcical. Matic got away with a worse one last night, I'm not sure what the criteria is nowadays but they seem to make it up as they go along.
