Nine point deduction imminent for Reading. Only need one more club to get one and we could stay up by default.
That’s assuming Derby and Reading won’t make up the points difference by May… Only takes 3-4 wins based on the points deduction for each.
If Reading get a 9 points deduction, they’ll still only be four points below us. If Derby get 12, they’ll be 7 points below us. It’s not impossible for them to catch up to us at least by Christmas given our current form.
12 point automatic for entering admin ... 9 points already dished out to Reading for similar offences .. I'd be surprised if its any different
Clever, but given the EFL has pussyfooted around them by negotiating with them regarding their punishment, I just don’t see them getting that many.
The EFL has little option, it's hard to legally enforce their penalties and when contested they often lose, so it's better for them to get the penalties agreed. Both Derby and Reading would agree the nine points this early in the season, as there's a decent chance they could still get themselves out of the ****, but the twelve points for Derby is unavoidable, as the administration penalty can't be contested and the administrators are unlikely to challenge any points deductions anyway, as it's not in their remit.
It would be hugely embarrassing if we didn't survive after two of our enemies were deducted such points.
