It isn't so much the strategy it's how our lads are implementing it or not as the case may be. We must either have the thickest bunch in the league or they are not being coached correctly. Many teams employ 433, many teams employ man to man marking, but most teams, especially in this division have a manager/ coach who drills their jobs into them, who gets the best out of them and makes it clear what that players role is. All I see is a haphazard set up .. with no cohesion or idea of what they are supposed to be doing. That rests with our current incumbents at the helm, and if they can't sort the fkn thing out they need to be honest and just fk off.
I think that's a big part yes, and McCann obviously bears some responsibility too. I actually don't know how to make a football team play effectively, and unlike many on here, I don't pretend to know on the basis that I can list a few formations.
John Fieldhouse the ex City reporter for the HDM had it all worked out. He said our best formation was 452.
Sounds kinda crazy but maybe young defenders outmuscled/outmanoeuvred by a recent PL team who have picked up the dark arts the hard way, regardless of how well prepared they are.. This is not League 1.
Can't you? I know it's a bit of a hike from Harare but don't ask someone else to do what you can't...
So the owners are still here and so are the useless coaching twins. So my prediction for Saturday no goals no win and the same old repeated interview after the game.
We’ll see if they can repeat that next season because we are stuck with them. I doubt it though as it will not be so easy this time around with fans back in the stadiums.
How much higher would we be up the table with the same budget, same players but a different coaching duo?
No idea but I’d love to see someone else given ago because In my humble opinion if we stick with GM we will be relegated I’m 99% sure of that.
That's the point isn't it. As long as tweedle dumb is holding the purse strings then really are we going to attract better? Hopefully there'll be a change at the top in time to save the season - but mccann needs to pull a couple of results out over the next run of games otherwise a new owner replacing him will become an inevitability. I just hope it's someone with championship pedigree.
