Sarr got in Garth Crook’s team of the week . https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/58619656 And Ben was going to get in too !
Kiko is out of contention for tomorrow's match against Stoke - his injury at Norwich wasn't a repeat of the one that had kept him out since late last season, but doesn't sound too bad as he's expected back at training this week. Etobo can't play either - on loan from Stoke - and João Pedro is concentrating on building up his fitness so is a doubtful starter too.
If he was injured, even slightly, I have no idea why he was put on the bench. Foster could have got injured/sent off in the first minute of the match, and then Bachmann has to play 89 minutes while injured, and we lose a crucial game for something silly. My understanding is the third choice keeper travels to away games, so I don't know why he didn't put Elliot on the bench. A fit Elliot is much better than an injured Foster or Bachmann.
Aussie ref for the game - think he did us on VAR before ? https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/s...rst-overseas-referee-watford-newcastle-match/
Let us hope that he is successful and his wish is granted. https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/s...enjoying-life-watford-hopes-stay-a-long-time/
Read that he is the first non seas ref to ref a Prem game. Wasn't Dermot Gallagher (Excue speking) Irish though?
Oh, didn't know that, says he was born in Dublin mind - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dermot_Gallagher Sounds like a reverse Tony Cascarino!
Or a reverse Tony Dorigo, the Aussie England international. He was selected for Australia's world cup squad in 1986 but his club (Aston Villa) refused to release him. No FIFA sanctions back then...
Two November fixtures rescheduled - and one more yet to be confirmed. https://www.watfordfc.com/news/fixtures-arsenal-and-leicester-trips-moved
Around 150 Afghan refugees temporarily staying in hotels locally were given a taste of cup action last night. They were provided with free tickets in the Elton John Stand and were kept warm with #watfordfc scarves for the tie against Stoke.
This sounds odd to me - Sierralta hasn't been playing because he hasn't been working hard in training? I guess we never see what goes on in the training ground, but is he really sulking over scoring an own goal and being dropped, or is there more to this than meets the eye? https://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/s...-says-francisco-sierralta-earn-watford-place/
Doesn’t sound good - he is potentially our best defender and younger than the others. Munoz doesn’t seem scared to drop players if he wants to. Ask Ben Wilmott.
