My instinct from the highlights alone is that the people who were trying to blame lyanco for the goals have an agenda. And not a good one Mainly referring to the Twitter mob. He gave the ball away in the build up to the second but they still had work to do and could potentially have been stopped Sure we can be unhappy that we didn’t spend more on someone more accomplished. But it is apparent now the plan was to sign a 4th choice and move the others up the line for the pathway. And who are we going to be able to get to join us as 4th choice? The anger about him seems based on the false assumption that he was the direct Vestergaard replacement I’d also suggest that the intention was never for him to start in this but with Stephens injured we weren’t going to play our starting two . Just an unlucky injury . This is not saying that he had a good game or that the strategy to sign a 4th choice rather than someone to instantly become first own a gamble. He clearly didn’t and it is. But that is what has happened. It just seems like there were people online (not here) that were desperately falling over themselves to say “I told you so”
I think he was hung out to dry a bit by Valery not being around, so he was getting dragged out of position a lot. He’s done a Lyanco style post saying it was a tough debut, but that he’d give his life for the club!
I have, and it was much more impressive than I expected. Any other recommendations for the area welcome.
On lyanco. As long as he wears red and white and gives 100% he will get my support. He is a saints player, get behind him
You’re going to be running out of friends soon That’s the Welsh, Norfolk-folk and the Twiitterati you’ve lost over your last few posts in this thread I’m saying nothing
Cool with that, as I was toying with the idea of going there for the PL game in October. Will probably bin that off and go to Cup tie instead. We won’t beat Chelsea twice in a month, obviously. Once, though..,
