Just leave him up the pitch on them and take it out of the equation.
He's fine at closing down and pressing, which his goal demonstrated.
Absolutely useless at tracking back or defending, though.

Another free header, but this one goes over, thankfully. Shockingly bad.

Nearly conceded again. All asleep after the first ball came over. Do they not practice basic defending?

I agree. No excuse for not challenging for that though, if you find yourself in that situation.

Defensively he’s an absolute liability. His faults are not things that can be coached.

    Get rid asap

Yes, but we need to get the best out of him while he's here, so someone will want to buy him.
Push him further up the pitch and play to his strengths.

We should have been 3 or 4 up and now we've let Wolves back in and raised their brittle confidence.
Good in parts but there are serious issues to address.

2-1 HT. A very mixed half, for me.
Started well, got the two goal lead, then went to sleep and let them back in it.
Had the ball in a lot of dangerous positions, but failed to create chances or finish the ones we had.

Is he that good or effective that he deserves a free role in the team though. I wouldn’t be happy having Son or Kane compromised for the sake of Ndombele

Other than the pass for Kane's goal, Dele has flattered to deceive. Swanning about, thinking he's the dogs. He's not. He was.

And Lo Celso again fails to make any impression. Where is his 'best' position, cos he's been feckin' ****e in most to date.

Literally saw the best and worst of Ndombele, lovely taken goal and then quite possibly the most lamest attempt at defending a corner you’ll see.

Also, amazing what happens if you supply Harry Kane with a chance on goal, Nuno should write that down.

Should be more in front, Wolves have been horrendous barring the last 10 mins but with there only being a goal in it we’ll probably end up gifting them a penalty and an own goal or something in the second half.

So who does Hojbjerg replace in the 65th minute? Dele or Ndombele?

I wouldn't give him a free role. Play him as an attacking midfielder in a 4-2-3-1.
He'd still have to put the work in, but it would put him up against less dangerous players.
It would also mean something when he beat people, while he often ends up running into dead-ends now.

Agreed, and his pass to Kane literally came about 5 seconds after he initially gave the ball away, been terrible again but the club will fap itself silly for the next few weeks over that assist now.

As for Lo Celso… probably best just to say no comment, lol.

Decent first half. Just final decision making and could have had more. Saw the good and bad of tanguy, decent in possession but such a wimp at the corner, the guys got no fight in him.

His best position is not on the right, which is where he’s playing because everyone else is injured. He’s a 10 or an 8.

That said I’m starting to lose patience with him now, and I’ve been perhaps his biggest advocate. He’s made of glass and I have no confidence of him ever staying fit for long enough to show form of the kind that made us sign him and that he showed briefly at the end of the Covid season.
