What the hecs wrong with binge drinking

About time this ban was lifted like...

 

**** that can you imagine the ****ers hoying pints about when we score.......

 

It shouldn’t be.

 

Don't see the need for it personally - game of cricket maybe as you are there for 7 or 8 hours, but 45 mins to sit without a beer in hand should be doable. As previously posted, the knackers will chuck beer about when we score as seems to be the modern way

 

They should do what they do for the cricket, charge extra for the cup but get a refund when you take it back or refil it. Better quality cups at the cricket as well - not as flimsy.

 

Hmm I go to rugby and cricket and invariably have a couple of gargles. There is very little trouble at Rugby, despite the vast quantities of ale supped. There is some disturbance towards the end of play at cricket, after a fulls day consumption of drink.


I think the problem with football is that the drinking culture is different. However It would be okay for us aged eastenders to quaff a gargle during the game, but I am not sure if other parts of the crowd!

 

Will be people getting up every few mins to go for a gargle. Standing up n down to let people past, people being hammered, as already mentioned, beer getting hoyed up in the air when we score. I can see fights galore.
I can understand it will probably make more money for clubs but its a no for me.
Surely we can hoy enough down our necks before getting there? Personally I stick with a small du bonnet ensuring I am sober.

I can get plenty before and after
There will be more movement during the game and people back and forth
It’s bad enough now when people are up and down for piss

 

I like a beer as much as anyone - but it’s a no from me . I just don’t see the need- if you can drink in pub/ ground nearly up to kickoff and start again shortly after full time, surely you can , even forgetting halftime availability , survive 2 hours without , especially as you’re occupied doing something.
As said , I like a drink but am concerned about the drinking culture that’s becoming the norm. Seems it’s so automatic for so many that alcohol has to be included with everything- going to the beach - take alcohol - family picnic - take alcohol- days shopping , include pub. When shops were closed for lockdown , even the govt said off licences were considered “essential” -

Exactly - never seen the attraction to it myself - became a bit of a fashion over the last few years and just cant get away with it.

I was at a gig at the Customs House when you could take a drink into the theatre... no problem with that but there was a constant stream of people going to the bar for refills, everyone between them and the route to the bar was up and down.... it was an absolutely pain in the rs

 

17 posts and no one in favour yet?...me neither. Might be good if you could carry your half time pint back with you but then they closed the closed the bars second half to stop people getting up all the time. But that might defeat the purpose of doing it all.

 

Maybe they could have a "drinking section" so all the beer-throwing idiots could spoil each other's days whilst the rest of us act like grown-ups....

 

Stupid idea that is essentially putting profit before people. Just like opening the pubs last summer. Greed at its worst.
