Five games in and it’s… [checks notes] five losses for Norwich. Everton sit in 6th with wins against Burnley, Brighton and Southampton (and a draw at Leeds). Last time out, Everton had a 3-0 loss to Villa and they suffered a penalties knock out from the League Cup midweek at the hands of QPR. Last time Norwich ventured over to Goodison in the PL (2019) it was a 0-2 victory for the Yellows, with goals from Cantwell and Sir Benny. How we’d love a victory like that to shift the self-doubt and finally kick our season into gear. #COYY
It's something we'd all like to know more about. Not our business, though, unless the Club or Todd want to tell us. "Personal reasons" could mean a lot of things.
That win was quite a surprise last time around and how we could do with another. Looks like Godfrey will be shifted to RB again after having a torrid time there in the 3-0 loss to Villa. Might Rashica ot Tzolis take advantage? https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2021/09/23/everton-norwich-godfrey/
Not wanting to add any pressure but this is a must win @Hairy Mary Quite Canary Our away record is abysmal I think Everton was the only win in 19 attempts 2019-20 .
Rachica is a doubt for the game at Everton. There needs to be a big improvement, specifically in defence, for us to get a win. A draw would be at least a point on the board.
Yes, Rashica is a doubt but the good news is that Sargent and Normann are available after missing the cup game through abductor and knee problems respectively. Will DF carry on with 3 at the back with Kabak a possible addition or will he go back to a 3 man midfield? If Rashica isn't available it could be a chance for Tzolis to join Pukki and Sargent in a counter-attacking trio up front? Like to see that.
From the BBC preview:- Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford returns after a two-match absence with a shoulder injury, while Lucas Digne has overcome a minor calf problem. Andre Gomes will miss the game with a calf injury of his own, while Richarlison, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Seamus Coleman all remain unavailable. Norwich are without Todd Cantwell for personal reasons, Christoph Zimmermann because of a knee injury and Przemyslaw Placheta due to Covid-19. Milot Rashica is a fitness doubt. Mathias Normann and Josh Sargent, who both missed the midweek Carabao Cup defeat by Liverpool, should be available.
WhoScored's probable lineup: Only change I'd make is Normann instead of Gilmour and possibly McLean rather Lees-Melou because of the threat to our left flank.
