Flanagan was MOTM for me, he has gone from a player I wanted rid of to a player I am hoping does not get injured this season.

    Top bloke

From the prats who gave him stick in a supermarket, I give you one of the first names on the team sheet.

I didn't rate him last season but he's come on leeps and bounds.

Him and Winny have been a revelation this season.

If Doyle doesn't make it on Tuesday, who would we want to replace him with? Alves for me.

Same here mate. At the end of last season I remember being disappointed when I realised he had another year left on his contract as I was hoping he’d be one of those released. He is currently playing the best football of his time here and has struck up a good partnership with Callum Doyle.

A great start to the season
He looks like he knows what is expected of him
    Mistakes will be made
However we shall see how he continues to perform
    Keep up the good work

Got to be Alvesfor me, if we want the same style of play. One ball playing CH and one no nonsense. If Flanno is out then Wright is the replacement, if Doyle is out then it's Alves.

He was very good today! Not just his own game, it looks to me like he's been asked to keep the younger lads right, and you could see him doing that today. That will only improve his game, I expect him to play every game that he's fit now.

Having the extra responsibility has maybe had a positive impact on his game, im sure he is one of the appointed players in the leadership group (I think that's the name for them).

Absolutely brilliant all season, keep it up Flanagan lad.

I reckon he's proved pretty much everybody wrong, I doubt anyone rated him after he barely had one good game for us prior to Johnson. Some people maybe didn't voice any criticism but there's nothing wrong with calling it as you see it.

He's been very good under Johnson, he's clearly working some magic on them. Genuinely exciting players like Cirkin are in a great place to fulfill their potential.

I think he probably always had this in his locker, but he has been part of a rancid "team". Dodgy Keepers behind him, dogshite along side him, zero creativity in front of him, huffy miserable striker up front and a 30 goaler that the fans didn't really like.

Early days, but so far so good in an exciting young team.

He's had some poor players around him and constant change through injuries.. I seem to recall a few championship teams looking at him whilst people thought he was not good enough for us...

I thought he never looked good enough after his first few games. He looked ok in his first few but, as time went on, him and Baldwin there was little between in the end. This season he’s a revelation. Whether it’s confidence, coaching, stability or a mix of the three, that’s not the same player we had last season

On top of not being very good i thought physically he wasnt up to it either after seeing him bullied a few times last season from big Centre forwards.

This season he's like a completely different player, i think he must have spent the summer in Italy staying at Franco Baresi's house.
