Tags aren't working, mate. I wouldn't have seen this if I never looked at the thread... I was looking at the Owls forum last week. Saying they hate him is a stretch, mind I wouldn't blame him for that goal yesterday... I put it up on the Non-Sunderland games thread... The Sheff Wed players failed to let him know the Ipswich player was hovering behind for about 10 seconds. He got off to a brilliant start, I fully accept his performances have dropped since then. I cannot accept it's anywhere near the point of hating him, or even most of the support being against him. Let's see where they're halfway through the season?
it was just from a few tweets I saw. Hate probably a stretch. But from a simple search it seemed several are against him and want him out the team. Was just pointing out it was a massive twist in form. Frankly sometimes clean sheets can be deceptive for keepers
His form for Sheff Wed and NI was outstanding. I think he saved 2 or 3 penalties on the bounce and made some great saves during them games. I'm not prepared to change my mind about him when he has admittedly underperformed for a few games. I'm not like that as a football supporter. You have to judge players over an extended period of time. Otherwise you could wait for any player in the world to drop out of form for a few games and then start to grill them as ****e.
19th in the conference if he can’t stand out there he will never make it here. Last chance saloon I think.
I think he's done already, personally. He never made an impression at Torquay in the conference and he's been garbage playing for the U23's, by all accounts.
I would agree, he needs to be get a goal a game at that level. I don’t think he will and he will end up in league 2 at best.
