I don't think so. Anyone willing to invest in such an asset would not be announcing such a transaction at this (or prior stages) of the deal.

I thought everybody had gone and watched this when he said it, the fact there are people saying it's hearsay is mind boggling. Aside from him openly saying he's trying to buy us, what more evidence do you need that he's trying to buy us?

He's been to see the facilities, he and members of his consortium were at the Sheff U game, the time for "this is bullshit" is long gone.

Whether or not he's successful remains to be seen, but the Allams see this guy as the one they want to sell to, so much so that (as HT2 as mentioned already) Assem has been the one negotiating it, not Ehab (who did the Greive/Lee bids).

Negativity based on the past is fair enough, but this is legitimately as close as the club has actually been to being sold for a long time.
