Wasn't the SMC trading at a (albeit meagre) profit back then?

Pretty sure it ain't nw so don't see how even the allams could justify valuing it at anything greater than buttons.

Pretty sure the 6m SMC thing was Grieve.

If the Yongges deal fell through because they failed 'Fit and Proper' test when the Allams had ratified the deal then its fair enough they lost the deposit.

Ah see that's where I got confused, because I thought it was Ehab doing all the dicking around. I just assumed Assem was too ill/not bothered enough to join in the talks.

Grieve just backed out of the deal when the Allams raised the price, something to do with the SMC. It was the Dais that lost their 6m deposit.

    How does that work?
If you Dai you won't be around to Thai up any loose ends.

SMC is now a liability not an asset.
An ageing asset that’s not been maintained, we do not own & is losing money month on month.

Agree the metal work visible from the concourse looks in pretty poor shape.

And that’s what you can see, it’s meant to be far worse in the closed areas where the crowd can’t go.
A friend of mine has an industrial heating company, the KC needs a massive upgrade. Quote submitted….Ehab asked for 80% discount in return for free advertising & free membership passes….

I don't think it's confusing at all. Grieve never had any money and the Dai consortium were knocked back by the Premier League. This Turkish deal is on the cards and could be signed off very soon. We don't need anything that could derail it at the last minute. I would say a decent crowd tomorrow and three points might help, but I'm a realist and know we could never get both of those. But this isn't the time for demonstrations and for dummies thrown out of prams. Patience and a bit of support wouldn't do any harm and as fans there is not a lot more we can offer.

That doesn’t surprise me. It needs urgent rust treatment on a lot of that metalwork. I don’t know at what point it becomes a structural issue. I was genuinely surprised at how bad it was. Plus some of the bird **** that doesn’t look like it has been cleaned in 2 years.
