    Genuine question, how do you know our loss was specifically a German gain, have you got an article that supports that claim?

    Reason I ask is that I understood a lot of non-EU drivers were avoiding Germany and France, due to the strict rules they apply. An article from a year ago about exploitation... https://www.theguardian.com/world/2...tside-eu-exploited-in-lockdown-delivery-surge

    I'm not saying what you claim is untrue, just interested in the source and numbers and where those drivers specifically come (nationality) from.

    Are they 60,000 short because of brexit? Why are France and Italy short?

    If you weren't so indoctrinated you would realise the actual reasons for this and why it has started to hit now but.........Brexit <doh>

    Poultry workers needed visas in March. Handing them out now won't stop a shortage of 500 000 Turkeys at Xmas.

    There's 363 in the HoC but that won't cover it.

    Shapps himself said Germany was 60 000 short.

    Mr Shapps said Covid was the main reason for the trucker shortage and pointed out Britain wasn't the only country facing a lack of drivers. He said Poland currently has a shortage of 123,000 lorry drivers, with Germany around the 60,000 mark

    You said the same thing had happened in Germany to a greater extent than here in the UK

    Which I proved, using Shapps own words that as per, you were totally wrong. He spoke about Poland not me.
