My eyes (or more likely - ears) will be on Musselburgh today, with the ground soft I think it might be a decent day for punting. Usually high draws are favoured in the sprints, they often bag the near side rail or at least get the pace to run behind on that side. As such I like The Gloaming in the first, who won from a similar draw at this course earlier in the season. He should get a good pace to chase and hopefully he finds a clear run inside the final couple of furlongs. The ground suits and I think everything is in place for a big run. Quanah is the main one in opposition given the going, but drawn further away he might not be able to get to the best place to challenge. Then in the seller we have an intriguing field in which very few of them have led from the start. As such the one I think will get to the lead might do so without being pestered. That horse is Khagan, who I think has shown enough on soft ground to suggest this isn't beyond him, he has plenty to find on handicap marks with the jolly but if they do get the run of the race and the ground suits him more than the favourite, I think he is the one to be with. The third race I like End Zone and Tommy G, the former has headgear on for the first time and the latter has plenty of back class. The ground possibly is better for End Zone, so he is the one i've backed with more of my stake. So - The Gloaming Khagan End Zone
Two from three, a nice profit for the day. Remind me never to back that last one again, not a happy horse when asked to go and get involved in the race
