I largely agree with all of that barring the last bit. At the minute they’re in the bottom 3 without a win, at this point they need to be bringing in young hungry players who’s careers are ahead of them and maybe a few players with a point to prove in the PL & who aren’t just going there for the dosh. Over time if they develop they’ll become a more attractive proposition and will be able to attract better quality players, but they’re not going to alter their place in the pyramid of leading clubs overnight and if they try and force it, they’ll end up with players who think they’re doing them a favour merely by being there & that rarely ends well.
Sign the best players from clubs in 10th-20th to become w top 10 team over next couple years and then you start getting decent players from abroad who you can pinch due to the fact it’s the prem and you have money etc.
I didn't read it in the Daily Mail. I never read their stuff. I'm always surprised that it's Donga's first port of call
When Newcastle get relegated nobody will have to worry about them getting in the way of their CL chances anyway.
Tbf didn’t city go down to league 2 ? Not sure if the owners bought them when they were down there I can’t remember Getting too all lmao
No, City got back to the PL in 2000/01, were relegated and then back up again for 02/03 season till the present. They were bought in 2008.
Liverpool will be without Alisson and Fabinho for the trips to Watford and, most likely, Atletico Madrid, due to their involvement with Brazil this month. The Reds are set to embark on international duty following Sunday’s 2-2 draw with Man City, with the majority of Jurgen Klopp‘s senior squad called up.
Still incredible that the Brazilian FA decided to arrange a match a day before a club future. Zero f*cks given.
its reported that Alisson and fabinho have flown direct to madrid so i can only assume they need to be doing some sort of red zone thing and pcr to be able to play.
I thought those rules had been waived, football being so important an'all? Tbh, I can't keep up with any of this stuff any more.
The bcc have an article trying to explain this stuff https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/58928165 apparently is something to do with Colombia and Venezuela being opponents too. If they "left" brazil on thursday or friday and need to go do 10 days to come back to uk and be out of quarantine. the question i did they leave brazil on the 14th or 15th lol this is the ridiculousness of this thing. They can play v Atletico as Spanish have no red zone? we then play man utd on sunday the 24th. = can they plan v man utd? We seem to think they can This puts the whole brazil playing on the Friday into clearer focus. they should not have been allowed to do it.
