'The fatal stabbing of Conservative MP Sir David Amess has been declared as a terrorist incident, police say' No surprise really, attacking/killing a politician is always more than likely to go down as a terrorist attack. It was the same for Thomas Mair who murdered Jo Cox.
Disgusting this **** is now happening in Britain, politicians getting ****ing murdered. I\m sure Rayner is furiously rubbing her clitoris right now imaging him dead like.
Very sad news. Stripping away all of the politics, a man has lost his life in a most awful way. This guy has a family, friends etc. I sometimes think that politicians seem to be viewed as not completely human, just a living embodiment of whichever party he is a member of. It’s complete bollocks. If I died, it wouldn’t be about my profession, I would be a father. A son. A brother. That’s what he was. A human being who probably had the same values in life as 99% of us on here.
Don't agree with the pausing of face to face meetings. Otherwise we are allowing these individuals to destroy the very fabric of our society. We live in a digital/cctv world these days, a far more watched society than I ever grew up in, a lot introduced supposedly to make us safer - albeit I'm not sure if I feel any safer now than I did 40 years ago. All attacks like this do is create anxiety in the communities affected by it. Having said that this attack seems unusual in that its only target was one individual, whereas terrorist attacks generally attack multiple people at random, unless of course the attacker was overpowered after attacking the MP.
I expect it’ll get worse before it gets better But if there’s any good that can come out of something like this it’s that 99% of us, myself included, learned something we didn’t know about the positive impact he had and it reinforces how wrong it is to write off all politicians (or any profession) as all being the same.
Yeah he sounded like a decent guy to be fair.Saw a concert earlier that he organised for kids with special needs. Very nice.
Good luck to anyone out there with a similar name. I just had a quick Google around and there's plenty of matches, but I don't think any are him. Wrong ages and locations, but up first on a search.
At the moment, I'm just treating it as though he's a disturbed young man that's commited murder for whatever reason, until the cops uncover something more substantial about his background. Obviously if they do, then I will change my view. Suppose the cops must have something that's not been disclosed to be going the line of investigation that they are.
I watched some of the moving tributes today on TV for David Amess in Parliament and after the Church service later. I feel no malice towards the young man that murdered him, because all he has achieved in doing is making people stronger, and hopefully fates way will be for good to come from this.
