Question for Howdentiger2. Does Terry and his ****wit sidekick still have the players onside, despite the continued results and the fact that some said the change in formation for Boro made a difference, only to be back to type against Huddersfield?
GLP, post: ]Who are the 12 hardy souls clinging to the hope that McCann can suddenly turn this around? We’re in another tailspin. The cycle of abject performances and the utterly abysmal record he has at this level needs changing. Well it was 12 at one point.
7 points or more from the next 6 games and I'll change my vote. That looks about par for the squad he has to work with looking at the next run of games.

Why does this excuse constantly get trotted out? So losing two players is the difference between challenging for top 6 in January and winning one game in our last 20, finishing rock bottom and losing 8 - 0 to another team that got relegated? Really, that's your argument? He's not a Championship-standard manager. Never has been and never will be. Bowen and Grosicki carrying him for five months, after which he was exposed for being the clueless, ****e manager he is, is not an argument in his favour. If anything it's the opposite.
McCann was employed by Ehab as he was the cheapest option, it could hardly have been on his managerial achievements as he had none. Nearly getting Donny a top 6 finish does not make you the man to get Hull City promoted from The Championship back to the Premier League as he was tasked with doing. Losing 8-0 to Wigan & taking City down in 24th position clearly showed he couldn’t manage at this level & he has carried on this season showing it again. Div 1 is his level & City will be straight back there in May if he remains as manager.
I think it's quite clear from our performances that the players are still fully committed and onside. Just not good/confident/well-drilled enough to turn performances into results.
I would love to know a what it takes for a team in that position to start to think “hang on a minute…” I have a lingering worry that Hudd is already well past that point and that is why he’s apparently persona non grata at the moment.
Because it's true. Barnsley lost Mowatt & Dike from last season where they finished top 6 and they've got less points than us so far. Stick a top striker and top centre half in our side & we'd be top 10, probably higher. Our side this year gives everything, they just lack quality and to go up a division and not spend a penny doesn't really give you much of a chance. Most the games this year we've been competitive in but the opposition have had more quality and they've nicked it. Yes we've been a bit soft and naive, but defensively we aren't too bad, it's just amplified when we can't score goals. Take the weekend, Holmes scored with a really smart finish and we don't have the quality to finish in those situations. Instead, we've got KLP missing an open goal. We're controlling games for decent portions we just aren't creating anywhere near enough and that has to change
McCanns appalling record at this level clearly tells anybody he's not championship standard, and if he was then some of the so called 'bigger teams' would come calling, but they are not, reaffirming he's judged by his record and it's not good enough! Would love Terry to prove me wrong, but listening to his post match comments I wonder most of the time what the hell he's been watching for 90 minutes beforehand!
Ah, I see. McCann’s just been really unlucky in the Championship. In that case, give him a new six-year contract.
Nobody is saying he hasn't made mistakes but managing us is a really tough job. You're given **** all to do the job but expected to have a good season. It's completely different to someone like Ferguson at P'boro, he was given really good money this summer and is still doing ****e. It's completely fair to say he isn't championship standard as he's been given money and continually failed. They spent millions this summer whereas we didn't spend a penny
