It looks like a record signing from the largely disappointing 'Evil Spirits' album. There are some good songs, played by some great musicians and it sounds nothing like The Damned, at all. Visconti produced it and he broke the drummer, who hated it, along with the bassist and keyboard player. Any news accompanying the picture, as it's been quite a significant week for the band.

The Damned's management have given a little peek at next year...nothing official (of course and, as usual, all subject to major caveats), just a couple of paragraphs on some fan sites. The band (including a new drummer...unnamed, naturally!) have all but finished a new album...Hurrah! Also, they've finally mixed the Night of a Thousand Vampires performance from 2019 and a live album is coming! Unfortunately, the video of that night is further delayed...which is typical and bloody frustrating.

There will be a world tour in 2022, including a North American section with "a major US act", which will majorly focus on the album, Strawberries, which is enjoying its 40th anniversary. This will please Mrs B, as its currently her favourite...and may see the first ever live performance of Pleasure and the Pain, which led to Rat hitting Paul and him leaving the band, all those years ago.

All of this is in addition to the reunion gigs in February, so I'm a very happy Brian indeed. It's been too long!

Despite tonight's **** show, I'm still smiling. I got 4 tickets for The Libertines at The Town & Country Club, so I can go with Mrs B and the girls on the 19th December.

The shops may be empty this Christmas and Mrs B is working on the big day, but I'll still be grinning. They were a great band back in the day and are one of the bands that all 4 of us want to see.

    Chuffed!

I think that Octopuses Garden was the beginning of the end but bad as it was I don't think that its nearly as bad as this

Wrack my brain - til my head is filled with pain I wonder if this was autobiographical track!

Audrey's joke on the Bill Nic thread left me yearning to hear this again. Fantastic piece of music. I wish I could have seen them as a 5 piece

I was lucky enough to see them many times, saw the lamb , selling England and Trick of the tail tours and many times in local venues in the early days when they were just doing the circuits , to see the look on the faces of the local Herbert's in the Top Rank Ballroom in Watford when Gabriel came on stage in a red dress and foxes head singing about giant hogweed is a good memory, fell out of love after ' then there were three'

Steve Hackett is touring now and doing the seconds out album in its entirety, well worth seeing

I was tempted to go see the Genesis tour until I saw the price , £110 plus booking fee and then I saw how ill Phil Collins was , Phil is deeply unfashionable but his first couple of albums are always worth a listen in my opinion

My youngest's favourite film director, Edgar Wright, has a new film out soon, which include these two tracks...

He's a massive fan of a certain band and these are the A and B sides of their biggest hit. It's a bloody shame that he's not chucked one of theirs in, like Neat Neat Neat in Baby Driver, as Captain's due to be selling off some more of his personal possessions in the near future..

Just because this is being used on a couple of adverts now, for some reason.
    That meeting must've been interesting.

What sums up your product better than a Demis Roussos prog-rock double album called 666?
How about a song about The Four Horsemen, as the it's a Biblical concept album?
That definitely says Ford Kuga to me.

I was digging through my old vinyl last night and came across the first Not The 9 O'Clock news album, I know it was topical at the time but the songs have aged better than some of the jokes.

Following last weeks conversation about spitting at gigs it seemed right to start with this
