If picked I think he would have a good crack at keeping them up with the players theyve got. How he would get on during their transition though, Im not so sure.

Fisrstly, this is just a gut reaction from the rest of The Prem Clubs, (except Man City), who can see that IF N/C can do a Man City and drive a coach and horses, through FFP Rules, they will get less out of the pot themselves.
Put simply, it's a mixture of envy and greed.

BUT, I've been wondering how, assuming that this might be legal, N/C could get round it.

I know nothing about the precise Rules governing the various leagues except that they are different for the Prem Clubs.
Continuing with this fantasy, Imagine that N/C do nothing at all in the January Window, then get themselves relegated into the Ch/sp.
Immediately sign a binding sponsorship deal, similar to City's, and start to BUY Big Time.
The rest of The Championship are not going to complain.
They will be guarenteed a bumper home gate when they play them and they will in any event be 'just visiting'.
There might even be a bit more TV money to be shared round.

When they get promoted back to the Prem, they will be unable to change an exising contract, presumabley and as no rules will have been broken, The Prem will be unable to do aanything about it.

This is all a bit of rambling imagination following on from rather too much, Highland Falling Down Water last night.

    But it MIGHT work:emoticon-0102-bigsm:emoticon-0102-bigsm:emoticon-0102-bigsm

He'll be delighted with that ...

... still time to catch some Spanish sunshine and he can look at some property to spend his winnings on.

  8. He's done very well out of it. He's never at any club for long, even without the takeover he'd have likely been gone soon. Most people will think he did what he could with an inferior squad and at least he can say he didn't take them down,as his feet never touch the ground all the way to the bank.

Not a bad payday for taking the club three steps back, wish I could find a job like that.

Bruce I the living embodiment of Booby Robson's observation that "The way to make the most money in football management is not to manage Barcelona, or England", as of course Robson had, , " but to be average and keep getting sacked" .

When he left us, his main complaint seemed to be that our fans took against him because of his N/C roots.

Perhaps he might like to reconsider after the way his own people treated him.:emoticon-0143-smirk

All those years in Football as a Fan, a Player and a Manager, and he still hasn't worked out that Fans rarely appreciate failure.
