Fair enough, I was just looking at the thing that was posted on here. But yes that's a big shout for that money. Having said that, if that's what football pays at this level then that's it, I'm assuming City are offering what they think is a sufficiently competitive package.
My daughter left uni in 2020 and amongst the jobs her cohort got the salaries range from £20k to £80k, nothing to do with qualifications, just that some industries pay a lot more than others.

You are assuming wrongly and isn't there plenty on here who could do the job for nothing without leaving their arm chairs ?.

I think the reason the salary's is low is because whoever takes the job won't be on more than McCant.

This position fits in alongside his psychoanalyst. He has so many they have squad numbers.

This is an analyst specialising in attacking football with a full understanding of the off-side rule. He has his work cut out there.

At least we now know the crap form has nothing to do with the manager.

Are we going to get a wrestling analyst for our defending of corners?

Am I? Howden says otherwise and that the position is newly-created, which is what I assumed.

Believe who you like. Doesn't really matter either way.

Erm, we conceded on Saturday because Ingram ****ed up his punch, nothing to do with how our defenders manhandle the opposition.

    a) maybe he wouldn't have had to punch it had our defence been defending their area instead of wrestling beyond the far post and b) had it not gone in, we had given the ref 5 reasons to award a penalty. Whatever, it was diabolical defending once again

now steve bruce is out of work, will we get him back once our new owners arrive? trouble is bruce has a similar affiction to what grant has. legend in one division, but useless in the one above.

Depends how much the new owners offer him to tempt him out of retirement. But we're in the division where Bruce is legend, so personally I'd love to see him back under a new regime.

Brucies pay off is some £8 million apparently.... good luck to him.... I suspect he might drop an Allardyce from time to time... I bet he's glad he didn't get sacked before the takeover...

I'll be amazed if Bruce doesn't take up another managerial role in the future.

Agreed, he's only 60, and he did leave the door open for a return.

Possibly, guessing it will all depend on how much this has taken out of him and his family. His desire might not be there anymore and who could blame him. Maybe TV work might just give him enough. Which ever way he decides to go he deserves nothing less then total respect. The saint maximin tweet says everything anyone ever needs to know about Bruce
