This one could have been interesting if Adams hadn't jumped ship previously. Would have been a bit feisty in the dugouts and chanting by the Green Army. I've probably said this before but that area is where my Father came from and for all I know I could have hundreds of family members at the game. I haven't been back to the area for just over 50 years so no idea where any of them are. This game is more of a conundrum. Morecambe have blown a bit hot and cold so far. They have had some decent wins and lost mostly by the odd goal in some fairly high scoring games. Obviously we can win this one even if it is a long old slog after a draining Tuesday night game. The results have got to run out at some point but I just get the feeling it won't be just yet. I'm going for a win just to piss off old Northern Monty and keep Sunderland off the top for a bit longer. I will be in flight when it kicks off so maybe a mile high celebration. COYG
Cooper, Grant, Galloway, Scarr, Wilson, Edwards, Mayor, Houghton, Camara, Jephcott, Hardie. Subs Burton, Gillesphey, Broom, Garrick, Agard, Randell, Law. Broom on the bench and Mayor in instead....not sure about that....does this mean that Ryan Lowe is taking rotating his squad seriously.
Tough game by the sound of it, but another point on the road, still top albeit with more games played and unbeaten since the very first Saturday. Tough games to come: a rejuvenated Ipswich, Wycombe and Wigan plus a Charlton who may not stay so bad with a new manager in charge. Still, challenges are just a chance to shine.
Still top on goal difference of +13. That BTW is equalled only by Rotherham (despite having lost there in Week 1, ie we've recovered a minus 4 deficit on that game) and beaten only by Wigan on +15.
Never was going to be an easy game there but had opportunities to clinch it....another vital point through....
