I wonder if Levy's looking at Solskjaer and thinking...

It'll fix a problem though and that's him.

We're not great by any means both first XI and squad but he's absolutely exacerbating it.

I don't blame Nuno for the situation but I don't think he can fix it. I think we have sufficient in the squad at present to at least play some football that resembles a challenge to the opponents but that requires a different kind of manager.

    I don't disagree.

I didn't agree with his appointment and his early departure was always on the cards.

    So, who's next?

Sack Nuno and appoint the next mug, rinse and repeat. Meanwhile the real problem at this club remains, the sheer misery of ENIC, Lewis and Levy. This club needs a complete reset, starting at the very top, I just feel sorry for the mugs who continue to pay the most expensive ticket prices in football, and are presented with mid table managers like Nuno and mid table players like Hojberg.

The only times we've created more chances than the opposition in league games this season in the Premier League was against:
    Watford, Villa and Newcastle.

We have only had 10 or more attempts in 5 Premier league games.

We have conceded more than 10 attempts 7 times.

We have had 15 or more attempts 2 times... the highest being 17 v Villa.

    We have conceded more than 15 attempts 4 times...18 v City, 25 v Wolves, 18 v Palace and 20 v Chelsea.

We have scored in only 6 of our 9 games...
scoring more than once twice.. Villa and Newcastle.

We have conceded in 6 of our 9 games conceding more than 1 on 4 occasions (Palace, Arsenal, Chelsea and Newcastle)

    This is on Nuno.
He sets us up poorly...doesn't change things and is boring ... I thought he'd be OK but plenty on here said he was a naturally boring manager...they are being proved right week in and week out.

I actively do not enjoy watching us cos we are as boring as we were under JM and bloke in a coat.

Levy promised this just a little over 5 months ago...

"We shall focus on the recruitment of a new Head Coach. We are acutely aware of the need to select someone whose values reflect those of our great Club and return to playing football with the style for which we are known – free-flowing, attacking and entertaining..."

Can’t see us sacking him. They’ll give him till the end of season, we’ve failed miserably and then get poch back

Honestly, I don't think he can - because there isn't a single person in world football who can fix the fact that we're clearly light in central midfield

And this takes us right back to the Ndombele paradox: if Ndombele could be trusted to play as a CM, he'd be alongside either Hojbjerg and Skipp and we'd be playing Lo Celso further up the pitch - but because we can't, Ndombele plays as an AM meaning that the only CM we have in reserve is Winks, which is why we recast Lo Celso as a CM

The other night against Vitesse underlined this issue, because if we wanted to play the same system as the league games that meant that we had to pick either Lo Celso or Dele to play in Hojbjerg's role while the other got to play as a No10, and there simply is no combination of those two players and those two positions which won't cause issues somewhere

In other words, in the ECL we need to drop Dele and start either White or John in the pivot, because our midfield needs depth and we're not going to get it miscasting players who aren't CMs and we're not going to fix it by not making subs either

Why would you play Lo Celso further forward? What has he shown to suggest he could play that role well?

    Three reason
    i.) That's his natural position
ii.) That's the position he played at Betis that convinced Poch he was part of the rebuild
iii.) While Argentina play him in a three-man midfield, he plays as the advanced role in the three rather than the supporting role he would in a midfield two

I had the game set up on the iPad whilst I was painting a few fence panels in the garden today.
I can confirm that watching paint dry is genuinely more entertaining. <laugh>

it’s just the same ****, different match.
Like others, I don’t blame Nuno, he’s just way out of his depth and was the wrong appointment.

So predictable and boring. It used to bother me, especially losing derbies like this. But I just expect it now, and as I’ve said before I’m totally disconnected.

    We’re well and truly broken.

Doesn't need my comments on the game as it's been well covered already but the season and Nuno's tenure at THFC boils down to United next Saturday.

THFC look miles off where they were under Poch but as long as OGS stays at United then 4th is still very much in play for everybody.

Yeah it’s tight at the moment. 3 points separating West Ham in 4th to Arsenal in 10th.
