    On the train back now.
That was not good, but mainly from Warburton.
Playing 2 up top and continuing with it for so long when my dead ****ing nan could see that it wasn't working.
Gray is a waste of a squad number and Chair was far too deep because of the change in formation.
Amos did ok first half but was awful 2nd half, doing his usual chickening out of tackles and hiding from possession. It was crying out for Amos and Gray to be replaced by Johansen and Ball. Then we could have had Chair and Willock in their right positions, with cover behind them.
Warburton has become tinkerman and needs to revert to Chair and Willock as two tens in behind Dykes.
I hold my hands up about Austin. Having watched him warm up and seen him live when he came on, his legs do look completely gone. Terrible penalty too.
Mind you, I did tell Beth and Stan that he'd come on and score the winner, which he duely did....
Oh wait....the world's worst ****ing offside decision ever! How could he get that so wrong?
Oh and Kakay and Moses aren't very good at wing back.
    And those other penalties.....

    What a load of bollocks!!

No visible game plan and very little quality on display. Agree Chair was way too deep. He needs to be running at defenders. Hope the linesman doesn’t sleep tonight.

It was either a goal or a handball penalty.

    Awful decision.

( I assume that was why our heads went for the penalties...)

But who wants to lose 5-0 to Chelsea in the next round anyhow

I was calling for Gray to Johansen too. Seemed so obvious.

We moved the ball so slowly Bob it was painful.
With Chair and Willock too deep, especially Chair.
The only time we speeded it up was when Chair managed to find space.

Warburton is having an absolute mare right now.

Dykes won so many headers only for Gray to be stood miles away from him with his finger up his arse.

Why does he keep playing 2 up Col , when we clearly play better with 1 up and 2 behind ? Also do you think it's impacted on Willock's performances lately ? Looks to me like he's lost a bit of heart, compared to the player that was unplayable for the first 8 games. Warburton is really starting to piss me off, the slump is firmly on in my eyes. Don't put out 6 of your best players ffs, put out all 11 to win the ****ing game or don't risk any. You just know that Dykes won't start v Forest now and we're gonna be toothless. Just feel like confidence has dipped big time now and fear the worst. Hope I'm wrong but I don't think Warburton knows what team to pick now. On the plus side Field played whole game for U23's today. We really need him back and firing. In that same game Thomas scored our 2 goals lol, maybe worth one last chance playing in his proper position as an attacking wide man ?

He won't, he's just collected his 100k winnings off backing Sunderland and is currently at Heathrow waiting for a flight to The Maldives with a pillow sized bag of Coke under his arm ! ****ing penis

He seems to have caught the tinker bug.
He'll continue to blame the fixtures, which are an issue, but we could keep the shape that's served us so well. That way, we'll probably outscore most of the teams in this division.

I worry he's too stubborn to admit when he's wrong.

The thing that really bugs me is he's never once said he has been wrong ! Seriously I've never heard him take responsibility for 1 defeat, staggering. Its always the same **** excuses, not good enough, individual errors, not physical enough, about using the squad, players can't cope with this amount of games ! Ffs take responsibility just once and say I got it wrong with selection or formation or my lack of tactics or defensive drilling. It is funny how Bournemouth are still unbeaten yet put out the same ****ing 11 or 12 players every single match, why aren't their players absolutely on their last legs or getting injured ? There has to be something in the training methods or pyschi of these squads and managers

Some people's saying it might have be Dykes who was offside early on in the build up to our goal.

    Here's why that's wrong:

Dykes was in an offside position but not interfering with play. He doesn't go for the ball but actually runs well away from it, running well into an onside position. When Dykes is something like the 13th furthest person from the offside line, a SUNDERLAND player heads it to him.

To call Dykes offside would require a person to explain how he interfered with play up before a Sunderland player gets a touch.

He wasn't offside. It's another faze by the time he touches it.
The lino didn't flag for that.
He took ages before mouthing "that's offside " after Austin nodded home.
    Unbelievably cretinous decision.
    Anyway, home now and knackered.

Woken up and still annoyed. Was there any comment from the ref/linesmen after the game? They seem beyond reproach...and yet the paying fans are still expected to pay and the managers get fined if they call out mistakes too obviously after games. Surely there has to be some sort of process whereby they get called up for such a poor decision...?

Warburton on the BBC website saying what a staggeringly bad decision it was, Austin was onside by feet, and hoping he doesn't get to big a fine for stating how much money this will cost QPR in revenue.

Someone over on Loft For Words is VERY angry....

I would urge all of us not to take this lying down. The following mail has gone in from me tonight to the Club/Lee Hoos, and the EFL. I feel there needs to be an official protest from the top of the Club, and fans like me need to see it.

    [email protected]
    [email protected]

Dear Mr Hoos and the EFL,

As an aggrieved QPR supporter and active contributor to the QPR messageboard Loft for Words, which has been unified in its livid disgust this evening, I am writing to you now in conjunction with the above incident this evening. This is the first time I have felt driven to do so in 45 years of following the club re a footballing matter, but it cannot be allowed to pass.

As the QPR manager Mark Warburton made clear in his post-match interview, the decision not to award a legitimate goal to QPR, scored by Charlie Austin, was scandalously wrong in a scenario that was not even remotely close, contributing directly to the club's exit from the competition this evening and ultimately making a mockery of the spectacle. It is likely this goal would have won the game, as it was scored a few minutes before the end of the 90 minutes. Given the magnitude of the error and attached photographic evidence that clearly shows Austin very comfortably onside when the ball was played, the decision to disallow the goal can therefore only be explained by a conspiracy of craven incompetence or else corruption.

It has also been pointed out that, to add insult to injury, a flagrant handball by a Sunderland defender in the build-up to the goal occurred, which could and should also have led to a penalty and a red card, so the laws of the game were also not applied twice over for reasons best known to the incompetent officials.

Please review the attached evidence carefully. I wish to know (i) what action will be taken against the referee Keith Stroud and his offending linesmen Paul Hodskinson and Mark Dwyer, as well as the 4th official John Busby, who, despite having a monitor, apparently also enforced this miscarriage of justice, for effectively bringing the game into disrepute; (ii) what reparation will be made to QPR FC for the loss of gate receipts, sponsorship and associated benefits attached to their failure to progress, and (iii) where and when an official apology will be issued for this injustice that is visible to fans.

Finally, I think it would be very wise that Mr Stroud and his officials are not allocated any game at QPR FC for the foreseeable future, as I think it would be difficult for the Club to guarantee their safety were this to happen.

I look forward to your replies.

    Yours sincerely
    ,

My recent colonoscopy wasn't as painful as losing this game by having a genuine goal disallowed.
    Where the fudge was VAR?
Can't they check it .................... or is it only for the PL?
We have been ripped off and now booted from the competition, simply because a referee blatantly stuffed up.
Aren't the attacking team supposedly given the benefit of the doubt?
I must say I'm really peeved.
I can handle losing if we are not good enough but not when we should now have progressed, meanwhile, those
    jammy ring lickers are celebrating.
