No problem mate.. I've met lots down the years..

From my old mate Billy, @brb predecessor Syd,, and canary dave,

Lots on the old Sunderland board... probably the one that stick out, was meeting up with Norway, who happened to be in Thailand at time... was a good night, and lots of naked ladies dancing.

Was planned to meet @brb once, but some cup run or something halted that

Artex also contains asbestos. Thousands of homeowners have probably sanded the stuff down when the fad of smothering it everywhere finished!

It's a DIY day, bought some pictures and mirrors and some blinds. Pictures already done of course (even I can do that).

Not looking forward to getting the blinds up.

This was more complicated, 4 clips that I had to measure out. The top left is a millimetre out and won't clip on but it's solid on there so **** it.

Two days ago I fixed a pin hole leak in a copper pipe under a cupboard right at the back by the wall. None of that putty ****e. Proper cut a section out, de-burred, cleaned and fixed a coupler. Turned on the water supply, all good.

Yesterday connected a new earth clamp and electric cover box to the earth rod outside that the neighbours gardener had pulled apart dragging a big sack of topsoil over.

Even went to a proper hardware shop instead of B&Q so I was dealing with someone itk when it came to materials.

    Good sense of accomplishment :emoticon-0165-muscl

Now that Treble has got the hang of this plumbing lark, he finally got round to sorting the radiator out…

I think fixing something rather than improving something gives some satisfaction. I'm getting to an age where there is no enthusiasm for doing any home improvements <laugh>
