I agree league position is a problem as I said above. GG seemed to be suggesting that the ownership was a problem, I just don't see it and I think its quickly overcome by money if they did have a moral compass. I don't think many, if any, managers are sat going "Hmm my moral compass is telling me not to manage Newcastle because of the nasty Saudis and their awful human rights record" Look at PSG or Man C, they happily go there.
Every Toon reporter in the last 5 mins or so saying we’re in talks with Emery. If deal agreed it’s 5m in compensation and he’s ours
Guy won a lot of stuff, did a decent job at PSG and was in high demand til a bit of a stutter at Arsenal who clearly had loftier aspirations than their squad allowed for. In terms of where we are, he's going to be quite a coup. Him or Howe, it's a bit of a no-brainer. His odds are plummeting, first one I've seen go to odds-on.
What did emery come into at arsenal? These things get ignored quite alot. If it's him ill be happy.. Howe fine
Why not? Martinez has demonstrated a capability to coach on certain way of playing which we most certainly haven't got. Whoever comes in is a step in the right direction imo anyway.
