That's true .... but without preventing others doing the same. That's why the club should 'encourage' as much as possible specific areas for specific types of support, and help that support thrive in each area (within the loosest interpretations of laws / regulations) .... and just as importantly, supporters should likewise respect those areas. Otherwise the issues will never be solved and the atmosphere will never be what it could / should be. It really shouldn't be difficult.
Not sure it has to be a club legend, but someone with a City perspective who provides some insight rather than just thinking it's an old boys' act with David Burns. Thought Brian Hughes was very good on iFollow last season.
Trouble is the shut up, sit down brigade are mixed up more together more at City. Last couple of games at the MKM where ther have been over 3,000 away fans over 95% were standing with a few sitting at the front or side. We end up, even with non sell outs at away games and loads of empty seats with people saying I bought this seat I am not shifting so everyone can sit down.
One and a half sections stood up shows how few fans we have who get behind the team compared to other clubs where the whole end or side is standing. Maybe we have more young people with bad backs, poorly uncles and traumatised children?
You seem very fixated on the quality of our support which you seem to view as lesser than almost any other supporter base in the country. Are you supporting the right club?
He's alright, but he's definitely not as good a commentator as Burnsy. He sounds like he's still fairly new to it. All a bit wooden.
I support my local club as I have done for 58 years. I don't need condescending advice from a young Australian. What I want is our supporters to be more like other clubs. Or rather, more of them to be like them.
I guess what I mean is, everyone will support in their way, as you are able to support in your way. Rather than being so critical and fixated as you seem to be week after week whenever I see you post on this subject, why not be positive and channel your passion into your own support of the side? If that's condescending well then I'm sorry, although not sure what my nationality has to do with anything. Atmosphere at City games have been cracking for all games I've been at - apart from, sadly, the Sheff United game a couple of seasons ago with diminished crowds.
The TMS crew bang on about cakes, London buses, anything but cricket and they're a national treasure!
Watching this Palace doco is great, it's focussed on that 12/13 season, bloody hell that was a ridiculous final day, storylines up and down the table. Palace made the play offs and Posh (with McCann in the side) went down with 4 less wins. Crazy.
